This is a hands-on, field-based role where no two days look the same. You’ll be out on the road servicing and maintaining Visy’s Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs), keeping them running reliably and efficiently.

  • Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns, damage and wear
  • Deliver high-quality, first-time fixes wherever possible
  • Complete clear, accurate service reports (parts, faults, actions)
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and reliability
  • Support installs, upgrades and commissioning activities
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Work safely and in line with OHSE standards at all times

Flexibility to travel and occasionally work extended hours during busy service or install periods is part of the role.

  • Trade qualification (mechanical or similar)
  • Experience in field service, maintenance or repair
  • Strong fault-finding ability and practical problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to automated or servo-driven machinery
  • Solid mechanical aptitude (welding or machining experience a plus)
  • Confident communicator with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own time

Highly regarded

  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging or food production
  • Exposure to robotics, PLCs or automation systems
  • Restricted Electrical Licence
  • Post-trade qualifications (hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.)

  • Autonomy and ownership of your work
  • Variety of different sites, challenges and technologies
  • Real impact on machine performance and uptime
  • Contributing to sustainability through reverse vending tech
  • Supportive, safety-focused and down-to-earth team
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Discounted health insurance and banking offers
  • Purchased annual leave
  • 12 weeks paid parental leave + keep-in-touch days

About Visy

Visy is powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years, we've grown to 7,000 employees and 150 global operations - predominately in Australia and New Zealand.

We believe materials are not recycled until they’ve been made into new products. We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.

From cardboard boxes, water bottles and jam jars to food and beverage cans, we are using recycled content to power Australia and New Zealand’s food and beverage packaging industry.

Ready to make a difference? Apply now and be a key player in shaping our future.

You will be required to meet Visy’s employment criteria which will include a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).

Visy is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
