You will lead the development, analysis and implementation of complex policy and legislative initiatives relating to Queensland's mineral and petroleum resources. You will provide expert and authoritative advice to senior management, manage priority government projects and oversee complex reports, submissions, briefings, legislation, presentations and correspondence.

A key part of the role is consultation and negotiation with stakeholders on complex and contentious resources issues. You will build productive relationships across government, industry and non-government organisations, represent the department and help coordinate competing divisional and team priorities.

We're looking for a leader with strong strategic policy, analytical and problem-solving skills who can interpret complex legislation and policy frameworks and turn them into practical, evidence-based advice. Your communication, influencing and relationship-building skills will support effective outcomes, while your leadership will help create a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team.

Help shape policy outcomes for Queensland's resources sector. #DeliveringforQueensland!
