This role sits in the Group Treasury team, part of the Group Internal Finance team at Trustly, which also includes Controllers, Tax, Payroll, Finance Operations and Finance Systems. The team is dynamic and cross jurisdictional, with an ethos of collaboration and continuous improvement at its heart.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is open at either Treasury Analyst or Senior Treasury Analyst level, depending on experience. This is a newly created role within a growing, newly established Group Treasury function, offering fantastic development and career growth opportunities. You will support the Group Treasury Director across cash forecasting, daily cash management, banking and FX. You will own the group cash flow forecast: working with regional finance teams to improve accuracy, understanding what drives cash movements and reporting key findings. You will also help improve treasury processes, tools and controls as the function expands, with implementation and project based work being a key component of the role.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Forecasting & Liquidity:

  • Maintain the group cash flow forecast model. Collect inputs from regional business units, investigate variances against actuals and explain the drivers;
  • Run daily cash management, monitor RCF utilisation and produce regular cash balance and liquidity reports;

Banking & Payments:

  • Prepare payments and intercompany transfers in the banking platform for approval;
  • Administer bank portals, including user access, mandates and supporting documentation;
  • Support opening and closing bank accounts and keep banking records accurate;

FX & Money Markets:

  • Assist with FX and money market fund transactions and help monitor FX exposure;

Reporting, Controls & Projects:

  • Prepare and submit quarterly covenants reporting;
  • Identify and deliver improvements in automation, reconciliation and reporting, including bank portals and Atlar as the Treasury Management System (TMS);
  • Help maintain treasury controls and documentation to an audit ready standard;
  • Contribute to treasury projects and ad hoc requests.

Key requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field;
  • Experience in treasury and cash management at a group level;
  • Strong Excel skills, including forecasting, modelling and data analysis;
  • Experience producing or analysing cash flow forecasts;
  • Understanding of liquidity management, banking operations in various regions (US/EU/UK) and treasury controls;
  • Clear written and verbal communication, and confidence working with colleagues across regions and with banks;
  • Self driven and proactive mindset, with the confidence to operate independently and on a standalone basis.

Desirable:

  • ACT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or part qualified;
  • Experience with an ERP, a TMS and multi bank platforms;
  • Interest in automation or AI tools for treasury work.
