About the team

This role is part of our Payment Operations function. We are responsible for ensuring seamless payment processing while optimising cash management and reconciliation, with a relentless focus on product optimisation and operational efficiency.

About the role

As a Payment Operations (Associate), you will play an important part in making sure payments are processed efficiently and accurately. You will work across core operational areas such as reconciliation, cash management, settlement risk and payment routing, and help us keep improving how we work. We are looking for someone with the right attitude and a strong willingness to learn, who enjoys working with both people and numbers. You will be in regular contact with colleagues across the company and with external banking partners.

What you'll do

  • Support cash flow management to keep payouts, refunds and merchant settlements running smoothly.
  • Monitor payment routing for deposits and withdrawals, working with internal teams and external partners.
  • Monitor settlement risk and the performance of our connected banks.
  • Perform reconciliation to make sure transactions are accurate and complete, and support month-end and year-end closings.
  • Responsible for bank KYCs.
  • Handling day-to-day incoming inquiries from banking partners with support as needed.
  • Ad hoc support with data and analysis.
  • Help colleagues and partners with payment-related questions and cases, and look for ways to improve our processes.

Who you are

  • You work hard, take ownership and want to learn. This matters most to us.
  • You're good with people. You'll deal with product, compliance, tech, finance and banking partners daily, and you stay clear, patient and helpful under pressure.
  • You're careful with detail and comfortable with numbers, because accuracy matters in this work.
  • You stay calm when something breaks and focus on solving it.
  • You ask questions, share what you learn and look for better ways to do things.
  • Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets.

WHAT WE OFFER

At Trustly, you will have the chance to solve meaningful challenges alongside some of the brightest minds in FinTech. Together, we are shaping the future of payments in an environment that celebrates curiosity, collaboration, and innovation. You will be challenged and empowered to grow, making a real impact every step of the way.
