We are actively seeking compassionate and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for school nursing opportunities throughout Suffolk County, NY.
Our school nurses provide essential nursing support to students, helping them safely participate in their educational environment while receiving the individualized care they need.

Qualifications
- Active New York State RN or LPN License
- Current CPR Certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to pediatric nursing
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with school personnel and healthcare professionals
- Pediatric or school nursing experience preferred but not required
About the Role
As a school nurse with Serene, you will provide individualized nursing care to students throughout the school day, helping ensure their health, safety, and well-being in an educational setting.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-on-one nursing care to students based on individualized care plans
- Monitoring student health and responding to medical needs
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments within your scope of practice
- Supporting students with chronic or complex medical conditions
- Communicating with families, school personnel, and clinical supervisors
- Maintaining accurate nursing documentation
- Helping create a safe and supportive learning environment
Pay Ranges
Registered Nurse (RN): $45–$48/hour
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): $35–$38/hour
