About the role

Help shape the next generation of skilled electricians while advancing one of the region's premier apprenticeship programs. As the Lead Instructor – Electrical, you'll combine your industry expertise with a passion for teaching to prepare apprentices for successful careers, Journeyman licensure, and lifelong success in the electrical trade.

In this role, you'll deliver engaging classroom, lab, and online instruction that blends theory with hands-on application while ensuring curriculum aligns with Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL) requirements and industry standards. You'll develop course materials, schedules, and instructional resources; supervise apprentices in lab settings; support student success by connecting learners with appropriate resources; and help expand programming through new certifications, continuing education opportunities, and test preparation courses. You'll also collaborate with the Apprenticeship Manager to support curriculum development, maintain quality classroom and lab operations, recruit students, build partnerships with industry and community organizations, mentor instructors, and help ensure the program remains current with evolving electrical codes and regulations across the region.

We're looking for a knowledgeable electrical professional who is passionate about developing others and committed to excellence in workforce education. The ideal candidate communicates effectively, enjoys teaching both technical concepts and practical skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Success in this role requires strong presentation skills, proficiency with technology, the ability to develop engaging instructional materials, and a commitment to staying current with industry regulations and best practices. If you're ready to help apprentices build rewarding careers while strengthening the skilled trades workforce, we'd love to have you join our team.
