Are you a FRANZCOG Obstetrician & Gynaecologist seeking a rewarding regional role with genuine work–life balance, strong clinical autonomy, and the opportunity to shape and grow a regional O&G service?

The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Service

The O&G department plays a critical role in regional women’s health, delivering comprehensive services across:

You will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team including midwives, nursing staff, anaesthetics, paediatrics and junior medical staff, with opportunities to:

  • Contribute to service development and expansion
  • Support and mentor junior doctors and trainees
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance and education
  • Help foster a strong culture of learning and best practice in a regional setting

This role suits a confident specialist comfortable working with a high level of clinical independence, supported by strong systems and referral pathways.

The Role

  • Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer appointment
  • Permanent, full-time or part-time options available
  • Up to 40 hours per week (flexible arrangements considered)
  • Involves emergency, inpatient and outpatient O&G care

  • Salary packaging benefits (living expenses, meals & entertainment, novated leasing)
  • Flexible work arrangements to support lifestyle and family commitments
  • Annual leave loading and corporate health & wellbeing programs
  • The opportunity to live and work in a beautiful coastal regional community, with excellent schools, outdoor lifestyle, and significantly lower cost of living than metro centres
