About the role

About PlayerZero

Building great software takes more than writing code. It takes teams working together and too often, the information they need is scattered across tools, conversations, and systems.

PlayerZero is an AI platform that connects work across enterprise Support, Engineering, Product, QA, and SRE teams, helping them resolve issues faster, improve software quality, and plan what to build next.

At its core is our Engineering World Model: a living understanding of a company’s software, how it runs, and the people and decisions behind it. By connecting codebases, tickets, production telemetry, and the conversations that shape the work, our model links what software is intended to do with how it actually behaves in production. and learns from where the two diverge.

Our agents (we call them Players:) use that context to take on work across the software lifecycle. They learn from each outcome, earning trust and taking on more responsibility over time.

We’re building a future where AI plays an active role in how teams plan, build, and run software. We’re looking for people across disciplines to help shape

About the role

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll help customers evaluate, implement, and expand their use of PlayerZero. You’ll partner with an Account Executive to understand customer needs, prove the platform’s technical and business value, and win the sale. Then you’ll stay involved through implementation, go-live, and adoption.

You’ll serve as the customer’s technical owner from evaluation onward, connecting PlayerZero to their software environment and turning defined use cases into measurable outcomes. This role combines technical depth, sales judgment, and hands-on delivery, with responsibility for managing multiple engagements and identifying new opportunities as customers see results.

What you will do

  • Lead technical discovery and demonstrations. Understand customer needs across the CTO organization including Engineering, Support, and Product, and demonstrate PlayerZero using their code, tickets, systems and workflows.
  • Drive evaluations to a decision. Establish clear success criteria for proofs of concept and trials, connect technical capabilities to business outcomes, and handle objections alongside your Account Executive.
  • Support the buying process. Explain PlayerZero’s differentiation, address technical and security questions, and contribute to RFPs and procurement reviews.
  • Lead implementation and go-live. Configure integrations across repositories, CI/CD, ticketing, and observability systems; build customer workflows; and coordinate Forward Deployed Engineer support when needed.
  • Drive adoption and demonstrate results. Train customer teams, remove blockers, and measure outcomes against the success criteria established during evaluation.
  • Develop expansion opportunities. Identify additional teams and use cases that benefit from PlayerZero’s understanding of the customer’s software, and prove their value with your Account Executive.
  • Strengthen the team and product. Partner with Support and Customer Success, communicate technical risks, bring customer insights to Product and Engineering, and build reusable technical assets.

What you bring

  • Experience selling technical products to engineering teams, ideally in developer tools, DevOps, observability, security, or cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong technical fundamentals across Git, CI/CD, APIs, containers, and cloud environments, with the ability to read unfamiliar code and engage credibly with senior engineers.
  • Experience leading discovery, delivering live demonstrations, managing technical evaluations, and handling buyer objections alongside an Account Executive.
  • The ability to connect technical capabilities to business value for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Comfort troubleshooting in front of customers and adapting when a demonstration or deployment doesn’t go as planned.
  • A track record of ownership through implementation and customer outcomes, with strong organization and follow-through across multiple engagements.
  • Relevant backgrounds include sales engineering, solutions architecture, or software, platform, and DevOps engineering with meaningful customer-facing sales-oriented experience.

What success looks like

Your evaluations lead to clear buying decisions, implementations reach production on agreed timelines, and customers achieve measurable results. Customer teams trust your technical judgment and leadership, and you and your Account Executive build on that foundation to grow the relationship.
