About the role

About PlayerZero

Building great software takes more than writing code. It takes teams working together and too often, the information they need is scattered across tools, conversations, and systems.

PlayerZero is an AI platform that connects work across enterprise Support, Engineering, Product, QA, and SRE teams, helping them resolve issues faster, improve software quality, and plan what to build next.

At its core is our Engineering World Model: a living understanding of a company’s software, how it runs, and the people and decisions behind it. By connecting codebases, tickets, production telemetry, and the conversations that shape the work, our model links what software is intended to do with how it actually behaves in production. and learns from where the two diverge.

Our agents (we call them Players:) use that context to take on work across the software lifecycle. They learn from each outcome, earning trust and taking on more responsibility over time.

We’re building a future where AI plays an active role in how teams plan, build, and run software. We’re looking for people across disciplines to help shape

About the role

You’ll own the design of PlayerZero’s product experience, making complex software workflows understandable and helping people work effectively with AI agents. This is a senior, hands-on individual contributor role spanning product UI/UX, design systems, and user research.

Your early priorities will be to establish a consistent design system across the application and define patterns for human–agent collaboration. You’ll explore how people delegate work, understand an agent’s progress, review results, and decide when to intervene. As the platform’s capabilities evolve, you’ll create a coherent experience that can evolve with them.

You’ll develop a clear design vision and work closely with leadership, Product, and Engineering to carry it through to the details of what ships. Functional prototyping is central to the role; shipping production frontend code is not required.

What you will do

  • Own the product experience. Take work from understanding the problem through exploration, detailed design, prototyping, and implementation review.
  • Build a coherent design system. Establish shared components, interaction patterns, and guidance that improve consistency and help the team build efficiently.
  • Shape human–agent collaboration. Design experiences that make agent actions, progress, outputs, and limitations understandable, with clear ways for users to guide and review the work.
  • Simplify complex workflows. Connect individual features into intuitive journeys, with thoughtful information architecture, navigation, and interaction design.
  • Prototype to learn. Build functional prototypes to explore behavior, test assumptions, and work through design decisions with users and teammates.
  • Ground decisions in customer understanding. Lead focused research and usability testing, combining what you learn with product judgment and design craft.
  • Partner through delivery. Work with Product and Engineering to balance user needs, product direction, and technical constraints. Review implementation and refine the experience after launch.

What you bring

  • A strong portfolio of shipped digital products demonstrating systems thinking, interaction design, and visual craft.
  • Experience owning complex product design and working independently, from an ambiguous problem through a detailed, usable solution.
  • The ability to connect individual interactions into a coherent system and create patterns that extend across features and workflows.
  • Strong judgment in hierarchy, typography, layout, and interaction behavior, with attention to accessibility, loading states, errors, and other details that shape the experience.
  • The ability to build functional prototypes using the tools best suited to exploring and communicating an idea.
  • Experience using customer research and feedback to inform decisions, evaluate tradeoffs, and improve what ships.
  • Clear communication and a collaborative approach to developing ideas, giving feedback, and working through constraints.
  • Ownership and follow-through: you identify what needs attention, bring others into the work, and stay engaged through delivery.
  • Experience with collaboration platforms, developer tools, complex enterprise products, or AI-powered experiences is particularly valuable. We welcome backgrounds in product design, design engineering, and related disciplines.

What success looks like

PlayerZero feels more consistent and intuitive across the application. Shared design patterns help the team ship cohesive experiences, and customers can understand, direct, and review agent work with confidence. Your design vision translates into shipped improvements and evolves as we learn from users.
