About the role

Qube Research & Technologies (QRT) is a global quantitative and systematic investment manager operating across liquid asset classes worldwide. We are a technology- and data-driven group that applies a scientific approach to investing. Our collaborative culture brings together research, technology, and trading expertise to solve complex challenges and deliver high-quality returns.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Incident Manager to lead business-critical technology incidents for QRT’s US broker-dealer operations. You will coordinate recovery across systems supporting trading, research, execution, and risk while strengthening operational resilience.

Your Future Role within QRT

  • Lead major incidents from triage and escalation through service restoration and recovery validation.
  • Coordinate technical teams, third-party providers, and regional Incident Managers throughout the incident lifecycle.
  • Assess business impact, prioritise recovery, and communicate clearly with stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate incident records, timelines, and decision logs in designated ITSM tools.
  • Lead post-incident reviews, root-cause analysis, and remediation of recurring issues.
  • Improve incident processes, controls, metrics, tooling, workflows, and automation.
  • Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Compliance on regulatory requirements, audit readiness, business continuity, and operational resilience.

Your Present Skillset

  • 10+ years of experience in technology operations or service management within financial services or trading.
  • Hands-on experience in production engineering, SRE, application support, or infrastructure operations.
  • Proven ability to lead major incidents and drive timely, controlled recovery.
  • Strong knowledge of trading systems, service dependencies, failure scenarios, and change management.
  • Experience leading root-cause reviews and improving incident processes and controls.
  • Experience supporting engagement with US regulators, including the SEC and FINRA.
  • Clear communication with technical teams, trading stakeholders, and senior leadership under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Python or shell scripting, observability platforms, or incident workflow automation.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or Jira Service Management.
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification or equivalent.

Base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $250,000 per year.

QRT Total Compensation includes discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
