About the role

At Statista, we’re all about facts and data, for we are the world's leading business data platform. By providing reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services, we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions.

Founded in Hamburg in 2007, we have quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo. And we still have a lot of plans. Our constant growth does not only prove our success, but also keeps creating new development and career opportunities for our employees.

We value and celebrate our diverse culture. You are welcome here for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or whether you prefer bar graphs to pie charts. Your story matters – keep writing it as part of our team.

Are you ready to join us?

Responsibilities

  • Improve survey operations. Contribute to ongoing survey work and identify opportunities to improve our methods, tools, and processes.
  • Explore new approaches to consumer data. Lead projects assessing ways to collect or produce consumer data beyond online surveys, including behavioral data integration, data fusion, and synthetic data. Weigh their limitations against their potential value for client use cases.
  • Design and run pilots: Set clear objectives, test promising approaches, and make evidence-based recommendations about whether and how to use them.
  • Apply AI to survey workflows. Identify where AI could improve data quality checks, survey production, or other processes. Test practical applications and help implement those that deliver measurable benefits.
  • Track the market. Follow how competitors and other research providers are developing their methods, data sources, and technologies. Turn relevant developments into proposals we can evaluate or test.
  • Turn findings into action. Present your conclusions clearly, invite challenge and discussion, and work with colleagues and stakeholders to put agreed improvements into practice.

Requirements

  • A strong grounding in quantitative market research and hands-on experience with online surveys.
  • Experience improving a research method, workflow, or data product, including assessing whether the change achieved its goals.
  • Curiosity about emerging approaches, including AI, and the judgement to recognise both their potential and their limitations.
  • The ability to assess new approaches independently, think critically about their fit and impact, and work with the team and management to shape methodological decisions.
  • A collaborative approach to working with experienced colleagues and the ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly in English.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (Advanced) and keyingress Survey Platform

For the Senior Research Manager level, we’re also looking for a track record of leading methodological change, setting priorities across multiple initiatives, and bringing stakeholders with you from evaluation through implementation.
