About the role

At Statista, we’re all about facts and data, for we are the world's leading business data platform. By providing reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services, we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions.

Founded in Hamburg in 2007, we have quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo. And we still have a lot of plans. Our constant growth does not only prove our success, but also keeps creating new development and career opportunities for our employees.

We value and celebrate our diverse culture. You are welcome here for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or whether you prefer bar graphs to pie charts. Your story matters – keep writing it as part of our team.

Are you ready to join us?

Requirements

  • Define and drive the product vision and roadmap for Statista's core platform capabilities, aligning technical investments with company-wide product and business goals
  • Translate complex platform challenges into clear, prioritized requirements and work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-impact solutions across areas such as data infrastructure, APIs, and internal tooling
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to accelerate platform development, improve developer experience, and unlock new capabilities for product teams
  • Act as the bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on platform priorities, trade-offs, and delivery timelines
  • Evaluate and shape integration strategies for emerging technologies, including AI/ML services, MCP protocols, and data pipeline architectures
  • Continuously assess platform performance, scalability, and reliability, driving improvements through data-informed decision-making and close collaboration with engineering leadership

Responsabilities

  • 7+ years of experience in the tech industry with a strong understanding of product and engineering workflows, team dynamics, and modern software development practices
  • At least 2 years of recent, hands-on experience in a heavily technical product domain such as platform engineering, data infrastructure, AI/ML, or API development
  • Proven background in platform or technical product management; experience in data platforms or data engineering is a strong plus
  • You actively integrate AI into your daily workflows and are continuously refining and expanding how you use AI-powered tools to increase your effectiveness
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between deeply technical concepts and strategic business language
  • Strong analytical mindset with a structured approach to prioritization, problem-solving, and stakeholder alignment
  • You thrive in cross-functional environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity, legacy systems, and evolving technical landscapes
