About the role

Senior Manager, Clinic Accounting

Hybrid | Nashville, TN — The Nations

3 days in office and 2 days remote each week

At Specialty Dental Brands (SDB), we're more than a dental support organization—we're a community dedicated to helping our practices, providers, and patients thrive. By partnering with pediatric dentistry, orthodontic, and oral surgery practices across the country, we empower our teams with the technology, resources, and support they need to make a meaningful impact every day.

We’re looking for a collaborative, thoughtful Senior Manager, Clinic Accounting to join our team! If you enjoy supporting others, improving processes, and bringing clarity to the numbers, this is an opportunity to put your experience to work while helping our practices succeed.

What You'll Do

You’ll help lead the accounting activities that support our practices, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and easy to understand. Along the way, you’ll build relationships across the organization, support your team’s development, and help us strengthen our processes as we grow.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Lead clinic accounting activities and coordinate month-end close to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
  • Review practice financial statements, investigate variances, and help leaders understand the results.
  • Coach and support accounting team members, creating opportunities for learning and development.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and practice leadership to answer questions and resolve accounting issues.
  • Strengthen accounting processes and internal controls to support consistency across practices.
  • Coordinate audit requests and maintain organized, complete financial documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve reporting, and support the organization’s continued growth.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation is a plus.
  • Progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing an accounting team.
  • Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-state organization is highly preferred.
  • Healthcare, dental, or dental support organization experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting systems.

What Makes You Successful

  • You care about people. You’re approachable, supportive, and enjoy helping your team succeed.
  • You bring clarity. You can explain financial information in a way that helps others understand and take action.
  • You take ownership. You follow through, pay attention to details, and keep priorities moving.
  • You stay curious. You ask thoughtful questions and look for practical ways to improve processes.
  • You work well with others. You build relationships and welcome different perspectives.
  • You adapt as we grow. You’re comfortable navigating change and helping your team move forward.

Why Join Specialty Dental Brands?

  • Hybrid work environment
  • Competitive compensation
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits
