About the role

About Us

The more AI does, the more people want to be in the same room. The retirement party. The rehearsal dinner. The offsite where a team that has only met over video finally sits at one table.

Someone has to make those gatherings happen, and today that person is drowning. Private events and group dining are an $80 billion market in the United States, and most of it still runs on email chains and spreadsheets or legacy software.

At Perfect Venue we are on a mission to bring communities together by making it effortless to plan events. We combine intuitive software with AI agents that make it easy for venues to increase sales, save hours every week, and bring their communities together.

We are backed by top investors and operators like the Hustle Fund, Defy.vc, Amity Ventures and are used by thousands of venues nationwide from Michelin star restaurants to your favorite bar.

The role

We're looking for a senior full-stack engineer who enjoys turning customer needs into clear, reliable software. You'll own features across the user interface, application backend, and database, working closely with product and engineering teammates.

You should be comfortable delivering across the stack and bring particular depth in at least one area. We value engineers who make thoughtful tradeoffs, simplify complex workflows, and help their teammates improve.

What you'll do

  • Deliver customer-facing features from product discussion through release and iteration.
  • Build responsive, accessible interfaces and the APIs and data models behind them.
  • Improve shared components, application structure, and performance as the product evolves.
  • Write useful automated tests and investigate issues across frontend and backend boundaries.
  • Collaborate with product and design to simplify workflows and balance customer needs with maintainable implementation.
  • Review code, communicate technical decisions, and mentor less experienced engineers.

What you'll bring

  • Experience independently delivering full-stack features in production web applications.
  • Strong JavaScript skills and experience with a modern component-based frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular.
  • Proficiency in a backend language and web framework, with experience building APIs and application business logic.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modeling.
  • Experience managing frontend state, integrating APIs, and building usable interfaces with HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with automated testing, debugging, code review, and shipping changes safely.
  • Good product judgment, clear communication, and experience supporting other engineers through feedback or mentoring.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools for implementation, debugging, testing, or documentation. You can critically evaluate their output, explain your changes, and remain accountable for correctness, maintainability, security, and customer-data protection.

Helpful experience

  • React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, or GraphQL.
  • Business SaaS products with complex forms, permissions, scheduling, or integrations.
  • Frontend architecture, accessibility, reusable components, and performance optimization.
  • Billing/payments, hospitality software, or other operational business products.
  • Mobile web experiences or integrating AI capabilities into an existing product.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation including meaningful equity you’ll actually be able to use
  • Medical, vision, and dental with paid premiums for you, cost-sharing for dependents
  • Flexible PTO & 401(k)
  • Daily lunches when onsite
  • Unlimited book budget
  • Company laptop
  • Complimentary One Medical membership for you and your family
