We're looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer to own and strengthen the data foundations that support decision-making across the business. This role is focused on building and optimising data pipelines, improving platform performance, and ensuring data is structured, reliable, and accessible.

What you'll be responsible for
- Owning, modernising, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Optimising SQL Server performance through query tuning, execution plan analysis, and indexing strategies
- Designing, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise tabular models using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Power BI
- Applying dimensional modelling best practices to create scalable and efficient data solutions
- Troubleshooting and resolving data pipeline, database, and model refresh issues
- Supporting the reliability, performance, and scalability of the data platform across all environments
What we're looking for
- Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including performance tuning and execution plan analysis
- Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining SSIS packages and workflows
- Proven experience building and optimising SSAS tabular models
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and star-schema design principles
- Experience diagnosing and resolving database and data platform performance issues
- A structured, analytical approach with strong problem-solving ability
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
