ABOUT THE ROLE

As (Senior) Credit Risk Manager you be responsible for credit risk assessment of our EEA and UK SME and corporate clients. You will own a book of large credit exposures. In addition to case processing, you will be involved in continuously improving our standards, documentation and tech stack.

You will work closely with Alice, our Lead of Credit Risk Management for Large and Middle Markets (LMM), and colleagues from Sales, Legal, Operations, Product, Data and Risk teams.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Due diligence: Assess who our customers are, how and with whom they operate their business model, what their public and financial profiles are.
  • Underwriting: Analyze business and financial information of our customers (e.g., credit agency reports, financial statements, bank account statements), write up the key risks and mitigants and conclude.
  • Credit decision: Decide on limit requests of our customers within your delegated authority and help us build and maintain a performing loan book.
  • Risk ownership: You own multiple high-limit customers and groups of customers, know them inside out, follow their development over time, and monitor their risk profiles that you present to the credit risk committee.
  • Innovation: You get to the heart of complex operational workflows and systems. You understand how to systematize business problems and design smart solutions. You will help us building scalable yet compliant straight-through processes, including the utilization of AI capabilities.
  • Communication: You are a facilitator and ensure a smooth and fact-based information flow between your colleagues. In doing so, you support the development of a culture of open dialogue, which is focused on mutual respect and the joint achievement of excellent results.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Minimum 7 years of operational experience in credit risk assessment for EEA or UK corporate or SME customers from a bank or fintech.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and industry-specific financial analysis. Experience with large corporations as well as structuring deals would be beneficial here. Previous exposure to open banking data is also plus.
  • Analytical thinking, detail orientation and ability to quickly understand new problems and systems and work out solutions.
  • Experience with tools used for loan processing, credit decisioning, and BI.
  • Project management skills and demonstrated ability to design and steer complex projects end to end.
  • Determination and desire to work in a team to achieve high-quality results for our customers, even under stress.
  • Fluent English with very good writing skills. Other European languages are a plus.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The opportunity to work in a growing team with big responsibilities that thrives on a strong exchange of knowledge and excellence
  • Attractive remuneration
  • Flat hierarchy and transparent communication in a relaxed, professional atmosphere
  • Opportunity to develop your talent in a dynamic team with ambitious goals
  • Flexibility and possibility to work remotely
  • Pliant Card with monthly credit to explore the product and enjoy food with colleagues
