About the role

Performing critical work that impacts our industry and our world’s health while problem solving and innovating in the field – that is what Scientists at KCAS Bio get to do every day. If that gets you excited too, then maybe working as a Scientist at KCAS Bio is the role for you.

When you work as a Scientist I in the Mass Spec Bioanalysis Production group at KCAS, you get to further our mission by applying your knowledge of bioanalytical and scientific principles to perform assigned study activities, including sample preparation, LC-MS/MS analysis, and data processing under the guidance of senior scientific staff. You will support the analysis of biological samples using established methods while developing your technical expertise in laboratory workflows, data quality, and troubleshooting.

Our Mass Spec Bioanalysis Production team uses LC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography–Tandem Mass Spectrometry) techniques and established bioanalytical methods to perform sample analysis in support of preclinical and clinical studies. Our work focuses on generating accurate, reliable, and high-quality bioanalytical data while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and laboratory procedures.

In this role, we will rely on you to

  • Execute regulated study activities including sample preparation and LC-MS/MS analysis under supervision
  • Follow established methods and SOPs to ensure consistency and compliance in study execution
  • Perform routine data processing and assist in preparing data summaries for review
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with study protocols, SOPs & GLP regulatory requirements
  • Ensure proper sample identification, chain of custody, and data integrity
  • Troubleshoot routine issues and escalate deviations appropriately
  • Support audit readiness and adhere to quality and compliance standards
  • Perform all aspects of the job in a way that supports company brand and supports company mission, vision, and values

To qualify specifically for this role, you will have

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in chemistry, Biochemistry or related field with 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment
  • Hands-on experience working in a GLP-regulated laboratory environment (required)
  • Exposure to LC-MS/MS techniques and bioanalytical workflows
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work within SOP-driven and regulated environments
  • Understanding of data integrity and compliance expectations in regulated studies

Depending on your background and qualifications, we may consider hiring you for one of three levels of Scientist roles at KCAS Bio. This will be determined during the interview process.
