About the role

We are supporting a client through a significant retail ERP consolidation initiative, bringing multiple business units currently operating on separate ERP environments onto a centralized platform.

The project will involve evaluating the current ERP design (NCR Power HQ, formerly Retalix HQ), identifying and implementing configuration changes, migrating data, and modifying integrations to support additional business units.

We are seeking a hands-on Retail ERP Consultant with strong experience implementing, configuring, or transforming ERP systems within a retail environment. Experience with NCR Power HQ (formerly Retalix HQ) is a plus. Candidates with comparable retail ERP or merchandising platforms are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the current ERP environment and system design to determine readiness for consolidation.
  • Recommend and implement configuration and design changes needed to bring multiple business units onto a centralized ERP platform.
  • Lead or support ERP configuration across key retail areas, including:
  • Item setup and management
  • Vendor setup and management
  • Merchandising hierarchies
  • Plan and execute data migration from legacy ERP environments, including data mapping, conversion, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Assess and modify integrations between the ERP platform and downstream retail systems, including POS, finance, ecommerce, and vendor EDI.
  • Identify areas where the existing ERP environment may need to be redesigned or reconfigured to support a consolidated operating model.
  • Partner closely with technology and program leadership, leveraging internal development resources throughout the initiative.
  • Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise to guide ERP design, migration, configuration, integration, and implementation decisions.

Qualifications

  • Deep experience with ERP implementation, configuration, migration, or transformation in a retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail ERP and merchandising processes, particularly item management, vendor management, and merchandising hierarchies.
  • Experience with NCR Power HQ/Retalix HQ or a comparable retail ERP or merchandising platform is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with ERP data migration, including mapping, conversion, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Experience working with integrations between ERP platforms and retail systems such as POS, finance, ecommerce, and vendor EDI.
  • Experience evaluating existing ERP environments and identifying necessary configuration, architecture, process, or design changes.
  • Experience consolidating multiple business units, brands, or banners onto a centralized ERP environment and/or supporting a major ERP migration or transformation.
  • Ability to work effectively across functional and technical teams and partner with business, technology, and program leadership.
  • Comfortable providing hands-on expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from assessment and solution design through migration, testing, and implementation.
