About the role

About Wahed

The global financial system wasn't built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values.

At Wahed, we're changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system—one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible, from pioneering Shariah-compliant equity ETFs, creating true riba-free alternatives to high yield savings accounts, to creating no-leverage real estate investments for truly interest-free income producing assets. If you're driven to solve complex problems and believe finance should empower, not exclude, join us in building a more equitable financial future.

Job Brief

Wahed is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager to build trusted relationships with prospective and existing clients and support the growth of our wealth management business.

This is a client-facing role combining relationship management, wealth planning, investment guidance and business development. The Relationship Manager will understand clients’ financial goals and risk profiles, explain Wahed’s investment solutions and guide them through their investment journey.

The successful candidate will generate their own leads while also managing leads provided by Wahed. They will represent the company at conferences, seminars and community events, helping increase awareness of ethical and Shariah-compliant investing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Meet with clients to understand their financial circumstances, investment goals, time horizons and risk appetite.
  • Explain Wahed’s investment products, portfolios, fees and risks clearly to clients with different levels of financial knowledge.
  • Guide clients towards suitable investment solutions based on their objectives and risk profiles, within Wahed’s regulatory permissions.
  • Support clients throughout the onboarding, funding and investment process and conduct regular portfolio reviews.
  • Generate new leads through referrals, personal and professional networks, partnerships, events and community engagement.
  • Engage and convert leads provided by Wahed while maintaining a client-first and suitability-focused approach.
  • Represent Wahed at conferences, seminars, webinars and community events and deliver presentations on investing and financial planning.
  • Clearly explain the principles of ethical and Shariah-compliant investing and how these differ from conventional investment solutions.
  • Work with Marketing on client events, campaigns, educational materials and lead-generation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate client records and report on leads, meetings, conversions, funded clients and assets raised.
  • Ensure all client interactions and recommendations comply with applicable regulatory requirements and Wahed’s internal policies, including suitability, KYC and AML requirements.

Job Requirements

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in relationship management, wealth management, financial planning, investment advisory, private banking or a related financial-services role.
  • Experience building relationships with retail, affluent or high-net-worth clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate leads, convert prospective clients and develop a client portfolio.
  • Good knowledge of investments, including mutual funds, ETFs, equities, fixed income and diversified portfolios.
  • Relevant financial advisory, wealth management or financial planning qualification or licence required by the applicable local regulator.
  • Understanding of ethical and Shariah-compliant investing, or a strong willingness to develop this knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence speaking at conferences, seminars, webinars and client events.
  • Strong organisational and commercial skills with a client-first approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, commerce or a related field is preferred.

Why This Role Stands Out

If you are a commercially driven relationship professional with a passion for helping people achieve their financial goals, we encourage you to apply. You will play an important role in expanding access to ethical, Shariah-compliant investing while building trusted relationships and growing Wahed’s client base.
