About the role

Provider Business Development Manager

Val Vista Pharmacy · Gilbert, AZ · Field-based, Phoenix Metro · Full-time

Base $100,000–$120,000 plus uncapped commission potential, an accelerated rate for qualifying growth, and an annual performance bonus opportunity.

Grow provider relationships and help shape our business development function.

Val Vista Pharmacy is an established, profitable compounding pharmacy in Gilbert with a strong provider base and a broad compounded formulary. We have plans to expand our capacity, services, and geographic reach.

We are looking for a proven provider-facing sales professional to acquire new provider accounts, build a consistent pipeline, and generate measurable, profitable growth. You will initially be our sole business development professional, working directly with the pharmacist-owners and helping shape how our sales function is built.

Why top performers will want this role

Uncapped commission potential. Competitive base salary plus commission tied to qualifying gross profit from new business development, with an accelerated rate for qualifying growth and an annual performance bonus opportunity. Eligibility is subject to the written compensation plan and performance and documentation requirements.

Support for new business development. Work directly with pharmacist-owners, supported by a broad compounded formulary, a provider prescribing portal, and marketing-generated leads.

A broad compounded formulary. Help providers identify pharmacy services and product options that meet their practices’ needs, with pharmacist support for clinical questions.

Territory development. Develop provider relationships throughout the Phoenix metro area, with potential for broader geographic responsibility as the business grows.

Potential for broader responsibility. Leadership opportunities may develop as business needs support additional roles. Advancement depends on measurable results and demonstrated ability to build repeatable processes, train others, and manage accountability.

Direct access to ownership. Work closely with pharmacist-owners on opportunities, provider needs, and business development priorities.

Tools provided. Vehicle allowance, company phone, and laptop.

What you’ll do

  • Build and run a territory plan that produces new provider accounts and measurable revenue growth.
  • Prospect and develop relationships with physicians, medical practices, clinics, and referral partners across the Valley.
  • Run office visits, lunch-and-learns, presentations, and networking events that move opportunities forward.
  • Own the pipeline from first contact through onboarding, with clear next steps on every opportunity.
  • Develop newly acquired provider relationships through onboarding, consistent follow-up, and strategic in-person visits, including hand deliveries when appropriate.
  • Keep complete CRM and calendar records, and report activity, pipeline, and results to leadership.
  • Partner with pharmacy operations so new providers onboard smoothly and communication stays accurate.

What you bring

  • 3+ years of outside sales, business development, provider relations, or account management in pharmacy, healthcare, or a closely related field.
  • A track record of personally opening new provider accounts and hitting measurable growth goals. Bring your numbers.
  • Comfort building a pipeline from scratch and managing it in a CRM.
  • The drive to work independently in the field, with strong communication, presentation, and follow-up habits.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the judgment to protect confidential provider, patient, and pricing information (HIPAA).

Preferred

  • 5+ years of provider-facing business development experience, particularly in compounding or independent pharmacy, HRT/wellness, longevity, medical weight loss, or sexual wellness.
  • Established Arizona provider relationships.
  • Experience selling into physician practices outside pharmacy also welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Work environment

Primarily field-based across the Phoenix metro, with regular time at the pharmacy for meetings, training, and planning. Occasional early-morning or evening events. Must live within the Phoenix metro area.
