About the role

Help professionals and businesses get back on their feet when they need support most.

Join Guild Insurance's Claims team and manage a portfolio of property claims from end to end, delivering exceptional outcomes for customers while developing your technical expertise.

Whether you're already managing commercial property claims or you're an experienced domestic property claims professional looking to take the next step, you'll enjoy the opportunity to broaden your experience, work closely with decision-makers and build a rewarding career within a specialist insurer.

About Guild Insurance

Guild Insurance is a proudly Australian-owned insurer with over 60 years of experience supporting professionals and businesses across the country.

We partner with more than 40 professional associations and provide specialised insurance solutions to over 110,000 customers nationwide.

How We'll Thrive Together

At Guild, we're committed to creating an environment where people can do meaningful work, continue learning and build rewarding careers.

As a specialist insurer, we're large enough to offer career development and technical depth, yet small enough for individuals to have genuine visibility and influence. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business, broaden your experience and see the direct impact of your work.

You'll join a collaborative claims team that values expertise, curiosity and continuous improvement, where your contribution is recognised and your development is supported.

About You

We're looking for a claims professional who enjoys problem solving, building relationships and helping customers through what can often be a challenging time.

You may currently be managing commercial property claims, or you may be an experienced domestic property claims professional looking to broaden your exposure and take the next step in your career.

You'll bring:

  • Previous claims experience within the general insurance industry, ideally within commercial property claims. We also welcome applications from high-calibre domestic property claims professionals looking to take the next step in their career and develop their commercial property claims expertise, with support and training provided by the team.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to build effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Sound judgement, strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced claims environment.
  • Experience working with customers, brokers, assessors, repairers or other relevant stakeholders.
  • ANZIIF qualifications or equivalent insurance qualifications will be highly regarded.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Claims team, you'll:

  • Manage a portfolio of property claims from notification through to settlement.
  • Develop and execute claim strategies that support positive customer outcomes.
  • Make indemnity decisions, manage reserves and oversee claim progression.
  • Work closely with customers, brokers, assessors, repairers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage complaints and complex customer conversations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, service delivery and customer outcomes.

What We Offer

  • Hybrid working arrangements.
  • Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane location.
  • The opportunity to further develop your commercial property claims expertise.
  • Support and training for domestic property claims professionals looking to take the next step into commercial claims.
  • Exposure to a broad range of customers and stakeholders.
  • Ongoing learning and development within a specialist area of insurance.
  • The opportunity to work alongside experienced claims leaders and technical specialists.

Next Steps

If you're looking for a role where you can further develop your claims expertise, make a genuine difference for customers and build a rewarding career within a specialist insurer, we'd love to hear from you.
