Hybrid working | Permanent full-time opportunity

Guild Insurance is Australia's leading provider of insurance solutions for allied healthcare professionals. For over 60 years, we've been providing exceptional products, services, and unparalleled customer experiences driven by a genuine care for our clients' professional and financial well-being. With over 40 industry partnerships and 110,000 customers nationally, we are uniquely positioned to offer insurance our customers can depend on.

Why Guild?

At Guild, we thrive together and create work that fits life. Our people connect with purpose, support each other and genuinely care for the communities we serve. When you join our Casualty Claims team, you’re joining a closeknit, collaborative group where your voice matters and your growth is supported.

Here’s what sets us apart:

  • Hybrid flexibility – 2 days in the office, the rest from home
  • A supportive, connected team with exposure to Underwriting and other specialist areas
  • Discretionary Performance bonus – STI up to 10% annually
  • Wellbeing, learning & recognition programs designed to help you do your best work
  • A culture that lives its values, not just talks about them

What you’ll do

As a Casualty Claims Specialist, you’ll manage a portfolio of up to 100 claims, a blend of active and dormant matters. You’ll independently handle straightforward files within delegation and collaborate with senior colleagues and legal partners on more complex claims.

Your work will include:

  • Managing enquiries and guiding customers with clarity and empathy
  • Delivering fair, consistent, specialised claims outcomes
  • Assessing coverage, liability and quantum
  • Setting and executing effective resolution strategies
  • Preparing documentation for matters requiring legal involvement
  • Maintaining accurate file standards and following our service model
  • Building positive relationships with clients, regulators and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to team initiatives, improvements and best practice behaviours

What you’ll bring

You’ll thrive here if you’re proactive, curious and committed to doing right by customers.

We’re looking for:

  • Experience managing claims in a casualty portfolio
  • Strong understanding of legislation, civil claims processes and/or PI/PL matters
  • Ability to provide commercial, timely and well-reasoned decisions
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working both independently and in a team
  • A law degree is helpful but not essential; health related experience is a bonus
