About the role

Physiotherapist (Oncology Rehab and Lymphoedema) | Part Time | Northern Beaches

An oncology rehab and lymphoedema group is looking for a physio to join their team on a part time basis. You would work a couple of days in the clinic and one day on home visits. Lymphoedema training can be supported, so you don’t need to have it already.

About the practice

  • Oncology rehabilitation and lymphoedema management practice
  • Supports people through cancer treatment and recovery, before and after surgery
  • Mainly hands-on care, alongside tools such as compression pumps, bandaging programs and garment prescription
  • Other services include scar management, group exercise programs and supportive care in the palliative setting
  • Collaborative team that works with each patient’s other health providers

About the role

  • A couple of days a week in the clinic, plus one day of home visits
  • Provide cancer rehabilitation and exercise programs tailored to each patient
  • Assess and manage lymphoedema, including early monitoring for people at risk
  • Work alongside an experienced team and communicate with patients, families and referrers
  • Keep clear notes and treatment plans

What we are looking for

  • Degree in Physiotherapy and current AHPRA registration
  • Interest in oncology rehab and lymphoedema care
  • Willingness to complete lymphoedema training, which the practice can support
  • Warm, patient and caring approach with people going through a difficult time
  • Your own reliable car and a current driver’s licence for home visits

What you will get

  • Training in lymphoedema management, with support from the practice
  • Part time hours with a set mix of clinic and home visit days
  • A specialised caseload that builds skills beyond general physio
  • Remuneration based on your experience, to be discussed

Location

  • Dee Why: close to the beaches, with plenty of cafes and shops nearby
