About the role

If you're looking for a role where you can shape the type of clients you work with and continue developing your clinical interests, this could be a great fit.

A well-established private practice in Canberra, ACT is looking for an Occupational Therapist to join its friendly and experienced team. Whether your passion lies in paediatrics, adults, or a combination of both, the clinic is happy to tailor your caseload around your experience, strengths, and professional interests.

Rather than stepping into a predefined role, you'll have the opportunity to build a caseload that suits both your goals and the needs of the practice.

The role

You'll work with a steady flow of referrals across both paediatric and adult clients, with the flexibility to focus on children, adults, or a combination of both. The aim is to create a caseload that reflects your clinical interests while supporting your ongoing professional growth.

Your week will include a mix of clinic-based appointments and optional community visits, with flexibility to organise your schedule in a way that works best for you. Dedicated time is built into your week for documentation, planning, and collaboration, while an experienced administration team provides day-to-day support so you can focus on delivering quality care to your clients.

About the practice

This is a well-established private practice with an excellent reputation and a consistent referral base. You'll be joining a welcoming team of experienced clinicians who enjoy collaborating, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another.

The practice is committed to creating a positive and sustainable working environment, with manageable caseloads, realistic expectations, and opportunities for professional development. It's a place where clinicians are encouraged to grow, contribute, and build rewarding long-term careers.

What's on offer

  • Competitive salary with a transparent incentive structure
  • Flexible full-time or part-time opportunities
  • Dedicated administrative support
  • Professional development allowance and ongoing mentoring
  • Opportunities to further develop your clinical interests
  • Stable practice with strong and consistent client demand

About you

  • AHPRA registered Occupational Therapist (or eligible for registration)
  • Interested in working with paediatric clients, adult clients, or both
  • Comfortable managing your own caseload while working collaboratively with a supportive team
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, client-centred care

Why Canberra?

Canberra offers an excellent balance of career opportunities and lifestyle. As Australia's capital city, it has a strong and growing healthcare sector, making it an ideal place for Occupational Therapists looking to develop their careers.

Outside of work, you'll enjoy short commute times, beautiful parks and green spaces, walking and cycling trails, vibrant cafés and restaurants, and easy access to national parks and the Snowy Mountains. It's a city that offers the convenience of urban living while maintaining a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

If you're looking for a supportive team, flexibility in how you practise, and the opportunity to build a caseload that reflects your interests, we'd love to hear from you.
