About the role

Are you a Neurosurgeon completing your specialist training in Australia, or an internationally trained specialist exploring opportunities to practise in Australia?

We welcome expressions of interest from qualified Neurosurgeons interested in exploring career opportunities across Australia, including both advertised vacancies and unadvertised positions within public and private healthcare settings.

Whether you are approaching the completion of your training, planning your next career move, or considering relocating to Australia, we would be happy to discuss your preferences and provide information about potential opportunities that may align with your professional goals.

We welcome expressions of interest from:

  • Australian-trained Neurosurgeons approaching completion of their specialist training and exploring consultant appointments.
  • Internationally trained Neurosurgeons who have completed an assessment through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and are exploring opportunities to practise in Australia.
  • Established Consultants considering a new position, a different location or a change in their professional circumstances.

Depending on your qualifications, experience, registration pathway and preferences, potential opportunities across Australia may include:

  • Consultant Neurosurgeon appointments in public hospitals.
  • Positions within private hospitals and specialist neurosurgical practices.
  • Opportunities across metropolitan, regional and rural locations.
  • Permanent full-time and part-time appointments, where available.
  • Roles offering opportunities to develop subspecialty interests, participate in multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to teaching, research and clinical leadership.

Availability, appointment requirements and eligibility criteria vary between employers and locations.
