About the role

Network Engineer

About Teton

Teton is building the foundational data layer for the point of care, using real-time, multimodal AI to generate a digital twin of the patient and care environment. Our proprietary computer-vision system enables staff to automate documentation, proactively manage resident acuity, and streamline workflows across entire facilities. Our platform delivers unprecedented access to real-time data insights, empowering healthcare providers with actionable intelligence to enhance decision-making and elevate care delivery.

The Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team and take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving network and connectivity issues across our customer deployments.

Teton’s technology operates in real-world healthcare environments, which means reliable connectivity between our systems, devices, and infrastructure is critical. When something isn’t working as expected, you’ll be the person who digs into the problem, understands what is happening across the network and physical environment, and works with customers and their IT teams to find a solution.

This is a hands-on and customer-facing role. You’ll spend much of your time troubleshooting network performance and connectivity, working with Linux-based systems and helping customers get the most reliable setup possible.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Own and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues across customer deployments, from initial investigation through resolution.
  • Work directly with customers, their IT teams, and external service providers to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, configuration, and infrastructure issues affecting Teton’s systems and IoT devices.
  • Understand customers’ existing network infrastructure and physical environments to identify potential sources of connectivity and performance issues.
  • Use Linux, command-line tools, logs, and network diagnostics to investigate problems and identify root causes.
  • Support the Deployment Team with network configuration and technical setup during new customer deployments.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering teams when troubleshooting points to issues that require deeper product or infrastructure expertise.
  • Document customer configurations, recurring issues, troubleshooting procedures, and solutions to make future deployments and support more efficient.
  • Identify recurring patterns and help improve our monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities as our customer base grows.
  • Help shape the role and our network operations processes as Teton continues to scale.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network administration, IT infrastructure, systems administration, technical operations, or a similar hands-on technical role.
  • Strong practical understanding of networking and experience troubleshooting network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Experience working with Linux systems and confidence using the command line for troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of how applications, devices, and networks interact and the ability to systematically identify where a problem is occurring.
  • Experience working with network infrastructure and concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, latency, and packet loss.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with customers and customer IT teams on technical issues. Mindset:
  • You enjoy troubleshooting ambiguous problems and won’t stop at the first obvious explanation.
  • You approach technical issues systematically while being creative when the usual solutions don’t work.
  • You take ownership of problems and drive them through to resolution, even when several teams or external stakeholders are involved.
  • You are comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where the role and responsibilities will evolve as the company grows.
  • You can go deep technically while communicating clearly and pragmatically with customers.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with IoT or other connected devices deployed in physical environments.
  • Experience troubleshooting networks in customer environments where you do not control the full infrastructure.
  • Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience from a customer-facing technical role, such as field engineering, technical support, deployment engineering, or service delivery.
  • Basic scripting or automation experience, for example with Python or Bash.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary and participation in our warrant program.
  • Work with state-of-the-art technology in a pioneering field.
  • A vibrant, learning-focused work environment.

What It’s Like Working at Teton

We’re a growing team of extremely hard-working and talented people. The learning curves are steep, and expanding your skill set is not just encouraged — it’s expected. It’s a hands-on environment where you’ll be challenged, supported, and constantly learning.

We are looking for people who believe in our long-term vision and value ownership and entrepreneurship rather than just another 9-5 job. With us you will have an opportunity to truly make an impact on the world with the outcomes of your work. So, if you are looking for a ride and not just a job – jump on board 😊
