About the role
About Tia
Tia is building a new model for women’s healthcare, one that treats women as whole people, not separate conditions or life stages. By integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across both in-person and virtual settings, Tia is improving outcomes, lowering costs, and creating a better experience for patients and providers alike.
About the Role
We are looking for energetic, highly adaptable LVNs/LPNs to serve as the operational backbone of our Los Angeles clinics. We currently have multiple openings across LA and are looking for candidates who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced role that requires working in a dual capacity: managing high-volume clinical back-office duties while seamlessly jumping in to support front-desk administration.
If you thrive in bustling outpatient environments (like urgent care, primary care, or busy women's health clinics) and love being the go-to person who keeps the clinic flowing smoothly, this role is for you. You will report to the Clinic Manager for operational responsibilities and perform nursing duties under the clinical supervision of our in-clinic providers.
What You’ll Do
Clinical & Back-Office (60%)
- Patient Flow: Room patients efficiently and complete standardized intake, including vital signs, patient history, and reason for visit.
- Clinical Support: Prepare exam rooms, procedure trays, and supplies. Support routine in-office procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and phlebotomy.
- Patient Education: Review provider-approved instructions with patients, including medication adherence, procedure prep, and follow-up testing.
- Care Coordination: Complete provider-directed follow-up calls or messages after visits, documenting patient updates and escalating questions or concerns to the clinical team.
- Safety & Compliance: strictly follow infection-control, sterilization, autoclave, and safety protocols.
Administrative & Front-Office (40%)
- Patient Experience: Support front-office workflows during peak times, including check-in/out, scheduling, answering phones, and administrative triage.
- Clinic Readiness: Maintain room and supply readiness, manage inventory, and quickly escalate equipment concerns.
- Workflow Agility: Learn and consistently execute Tia’s SOPs, EHR workflows, scheduling tools, and internal communication practices to keep the clinic running on time.
What You’ll Bring
Requirements
- Credentials: Active, unrestricted California LVN (or valid multistate LPN) license and current BLS certification. Completion of an approved practical/vocational nursing program.
- Core Experience: 1+ year of hands-on nursing experience in a fast-paced outpatient setting (urgent care, primary care, or women's health heavily preferred).
- Dual-Role Readiness: Proven ability and willingness to work collaboratively across both front-desk administrative and back-office clinical responsibilities.
- Clinical Skills: Solid experience with patient intake, vital signs, infection control, clinical documentation, and knowing exactly when to escalate to a provider.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to learn and effectively use EHRs, scheduling platforms, and digital communication systems quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy training or hands-on experience
- Experience supporting in-office procedures (particularly in gynecology or reproductive health).
