About the role

Lightedge is an enterprise-grade cloud services and colocation company focused on the needs of businesses and their critical IT requirements. If you want to take your skills to the next level by joining an industry leader, this is an excellent opportunity for you!

We are hiring a critical member to support our Legal team. You will work closely with the General Counsel and the Commercial Counsel. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable redlining a services agreement, drafting a lease abstract, and building scalable processes. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently in a growing, fast-changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Responsibilities

Contracts

  • Maintain and improve a contract database.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and summarize commercial agreements, including technology transactions and real estate leases.
  • Serve as the point of contact for business teams such as sales or procurement on contract questions and guide stakeholders from intake through signature.
  • Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and clause libraries.
  • Track contract obligations, renewal dates, and key milestones to support compliance and timely action.
  • Real Estate & Site Development
  • Prepare lease abstracts and support leases, amendments, LOIs, and construction and expansion agreements.
  • Track lease expiration terms, options, renewal deadlines, notices, surrender conditions, and other key obligations.
  • Coordinate with external and internal stakeholders on facility matters.
  • Corporate, Compliance & Transaction Support
  • Assist with corporate maintenance, registered-agent matters, and entity housekeeping.
  • Assist with M&A diligence, closing checklists, and post-closing deliverables.
  • Support insurance renewals and compliance documentation.
  • Pre-Litigation / Litigation Support
  • Help the Legal Department respond to customer, vendor, and other dispute notices by gathering facts and records and coordinating follow-up with business teams.
  • Assist with demand letters, collections, bankruptcy tracking, investigations, and document preservation or litigation holds.
  • Technology Tools
  • Select, implement, and manage legal technology systems, including SharePoint, LinkSquares (CLM), e-signature tools, and Salesforce.
  • Improve legal workflows, reporting, automation, and the Legal Department's use of AI.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law or related field or equivalent experience. Law background preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in a law firm, in-house department, or related environment.
  • Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation or Paralegal Certification from an accredited program is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently review, draft, and revise contracts and legal agreements with limited supervision.
  • Experience with legal document management, contract lifecycle management (CLM) preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Actual compensation is based on various factors, such as geographic location, experience, education, and/or skill level, and is finalized at the time of offer.
