About the role

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

  • Lead the preparation, negotiation, and management of construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines, from initial award through final close-out
  • Drive the real-time resolution of complex design and construction conflicts in the field, ensuring minimal impact to schedule and cost
  • Lead coordination efforts with electrical utility providers on design and engineering activities to ensure reliable and resilient power delivery to critical site infrastructure
  • Serve as the primary technical interface with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and key project stakeholders, fostering alignment and driving successful project outcomes

  • Working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding
  • Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches
  • Experience creating and implementing process/design solutions with minimal impact to business operations
  • Able to quickly assess an issue and assist technicians with troubleshooting and repair
  • Ability to work in a high-concentration, high-stress environment, under possible extended work hours and tight deadlines
  • Acute attention to detail, ability to see interactions with other systems to avoid problems
  • AutoCAD/Revit – Beginner to intermediate skill level
  • Familiarity with National Electric Code, ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association, and International Building Code

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Role may require extended hours, weekend work and shift schedules, that vary depending on site operational needs; flexibility required
