About the role

At Statista, we’re all about facts and data, for we are the world's leading business data platform. By providing reliable and easy-to-use data as well as various data analytics products and services, we empower people worldwide to make fact-based decisions.

Founded in Hamburg in 2007, we have quickly grown into a global company with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin and Tokyo. And we still have a lot of plans. Our constant growth does not only prove our success, but also keeps creating new development and career opportunities for our employees.

We value and celebrate our diverse culture. You are welcome here for who you are, no matter where you come from, what you look like, or whether you prefer bar graphs to pie charts. Your story matters – keep writing it as part of our team.

Are you ready to join us?

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Level 1 tickets and ad-hoc helpdesk requests covering hardware, software, and workplace services across Statista's global workforce.
  • Take ownership of incoming requests from qualification through resolution or escalation, ensuring timely updates, complete English documentation, and SLA compliance.
  • Identify recurring issues and report patterns to the Workplace Manager to drive continuous improvement of IT services.
  • Build and maintain self-service resources such as knowledge base articles, how-to guides, and FAQs, and identify automation opportunities for recurring tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with Tech Ops and DWO team members on escalations, knowledge transfer, and documentation to ensure seamless handoffs.
  • Support end-to-end IT onboarding for new colleagues and contribute to cross-team projects that improve IT services and workplace infrastructure.

Your Profile

  • Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration) or equivalent practical experience
  • Initial professional experience in IT service or helpdesk environments
  • Experience with identity and access management solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta - Statista uses Okta) and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune
  • Experience working with ITSM ticketing systems (Statista uses ServiceNow) and IT asset management tools (Statista uses Snipe-IT)
  • Nice to have: experience with Jamf, macOS, iOS management
  • Fluent English skills. German is a plus.
  • Hands-on, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering great user experiences
  • Proactive communication style and service-oriented attitude
