Listed on Nasdaq (NBIS) and headquartered in Amsterdam, we have a global footprint with R&D hubs across Europe, the UK, North America and Israel. Our team of 1,500+ includes hundreds of engineers with deep expertise across hardware, software and AI R&D.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Global Power Procurement and Strategy Manager to lead the end-to-end procurement and commercial management of electricity across the company’s global sites.

This role owns the complete power procurement lifecycle, from collecting and validating consumption data, forecasting demand and analyzing energy markets, through developing sourcing strategies, conducting competitive procurement processes, negotiating agreements and managing the resulting power portfolio.

The successful candidate will combine strong knowledge of electricity markets with commercial, analytical and procurement capabilities and will work closely with Data Center Operations, Infrastructure, Engineering, Finance, Treasury, Legal, Tax and Sustainability teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the global electricity procurement strategy (including PPAs) for the company’s data centers, offices and other operational sites.
  • Establish and maintain a consolidated view of electricity consumption, demand forecasts, costs, tariffs, suppliers, contractual commitments and renewal dates across all locations.
  • Develop short-, medium- and long-term power procurement strategies tailored to the regulatory, operational and commercial conditions of each market.
  • Monitor electricity markets, pricing trends, regulatory developments, grid conditions and relevant geopolitical and supply risks.
  • Evaluate available procurement structures, including utility supply agreements, fixed and indexed pricing, spot-market exposure, Power Purchase Agreements and renewable energy solutions.
  • Develop financial models, market comparisons, sourcing scenarios and business cases to support management decisions.
  • Translate complex market, technical and regulatory information into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Lead RFI and RFP processes, including market engagement, proposal evaluation, supplier selection and award recommendations.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with utilities, electricity suppliers, energy producers, aggregators, advisors and renewable energy providers.
  • Manage the contracting process from commercial alignment through internal approvals, negotiation and execution.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Treasury, Tax and Sustainability teams to assess contractual, financial, accounting, regulatory and risk implications.
  • Manage electricity supply contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, pricing mechanisms, volume commitments, guarantees, indexation and termination provisions.
  • Monitor contracted versus actual consumption, expenditure, supplier performance and exposure to market prices.
  • Support the review and validation of electricity invoices, tariffs, grid charges and other energy-related costs.
  • Identify cost-saving, cost-avoidance and risk-reduction opportunities across the global power portfolio.
  • Develop dashboards and management reporting covering consumption, expenditure, forecast accuracy, market exposure, contract status, savings and key risks.
  • Support the company’s sustainability and renewable energy objectives, including the evaluation and procurement of Guarantees of Origin, Renewable Energy Certificates and equivalent local instruments.
  • Establish global policies, governance standards, procurement processes and contracting principles for electricity sourcing.
  • Coordinate external energy advisors and consultants where specialized local-market support is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in electricity markets, energy procurement, utilities, energy trading, commercial energy advisory or strategic sourcing.
  • Demonstrated experience managing electricity sourcing or supply agreements for large commercial or industrial consumers.
  • Strong understanding of electricity market structures, utility tariffs, wholesale pricing, grid charges and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with electricity purchasing models such as fixed-price, indexed, spot-market and long-term power supply agreements.
  • Proven experience leading complex sourcing processes and negotiating high-value, multi-year commercial agreements.
  • Strong financial and quantitative capabilities, including cost modelling, forecasting, scenario analysis and business-case development.
  • Ability to interpret consumption data and convert market information into actionable sourcing recommendations.
  • Strong contract, stakeholder and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple markets, projects and decision timelines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting data centers, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications or other energy-intensive operations.
  • Experience with Power Purchase Agreements and renewable energy procurement.
  • Knowledge of European and US electricity markets and regulatory environments (Preferably including additional markets).
  • Familiarity with energy-risk management, hedging principles, balancing arrangements and volume-risk mechanisms.
  • Experience working with Treasury, Finance, Sustainability, Engineering and Data Center Operations teams.
  • Experience establishing global energy-data management and reporting processes.
  • Experience working within a rapidly growing international technology organization.
