Join a high-performing regional emergency service

We're seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join one of Australia's largest regional health services. Whether you want a long-term regional career or a change from metropolitan practice, this role offers high-quality emergency medicine in a supportive, collaborative department with an excellent lifestyle on the doorstep.

About the Department

  • The largest regional health service in North East Victoria and Southern NSW, serving a catchment of over 250,000 people

  • Around 40% paediatric presentations, giving a broad and varied case mix
  • 24/7 FACEM coverage at the main campus
  • Two complementary sites: a higher-acuity main ED and a lower-acuity second campus
  • ACEM-accredited for 24 months of emergency medicine training, with an active teaching culture
  • Emergency specialists and rural generalists work side by side in a multidisciplinary team, with a strong focus on kindness and teamwork

About the Role

  • Deliver senior clinical care and decision-making across a diverse, high-volume case mix

About You

  • Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM). Exam-complete trainees are also welcome to apply
  • Eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Strong leadership, communication and teaching skills
  • A collaborative, patient-centred approach

Benefits

  • Competitive senior medical salary and generous relocation assistance
  • Salary packaging (subject to eligibility)
  • Support for professional development and continuing education
  • Flexible full-time and part-time options
  • A department that is growing and investing in its senior workforce

Why You'll Love Albury–Wodonga

Albury–Wodonga sits on the NSW/Victoria border and offers an exceptional regional lifestyle. Commutes are short, the community is strong, and the Murray River, Lake Hume and nearby alpine regions are close by for outdoor recreation. Families have access to good schools, an airport with direct flights to Sydney and Melbourne, and a lower cost of living than the major cities. Melbourne is about 3.5 hours away by car and Canberra about 4.
