The ideal candidate combines strategic marketing expertise, exceptional writing and storytelling capabilities, and a proven ability to cultivate meaningful partnerships within technical and research communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers, technology innovators, and cross functional teams while helping expand the reach and impact of emerging technology research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, nonprofit organizations, research labs, and external technology partners.
  • Serve as a primary liaison between external research communities and internal marketing, research, and product teams.
  • Identify opportunities to showcase research achievements, partner collaborations, and emerging technology applications.
  • Utilize AI tools and automation to improve marketing efficiency and scale community engagement efforts.

Content Strategy & Technical Storytelling

  • Develop compelling case studies, blog posts, newsletters, video narratives, and research success stories.
  • Translate complex technical research into clear, engaging content for both technical and general audiences.
  • Collaborate directly with researchers and external partners to develop accurate and meaningful content.
  • Oversee content development, stakeholder reviews, approvals, publication, and promotion.
  • Support website, social media, and digital marketing initiatives to increase awareness and engagement.

Cross Functional Program Management

  • Lead coordinated marketing launches involving research, product, legal, communications, design, and creative teams.
  • Develop project timelines, manage competing priorities, and ensure successful execution against deadlines.
  • Align external communications and community initiatives with broader research and product objectives.
  • Navigate shifting priorities and ambiguity while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Events & Community Engagement

  • Plan and execute academic conferences, research summits, partner events, and community engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate event agendas, budgets, logistics, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with research partners through newsletters, events, and community programs.
  • Gather partner feedback to help improve research programs, resources, and community support.

Performance Measurement

  • Track and report on marketing performance, community engagement, and partnership outcomes.
  • Measure campaign reach, partner satisfaction, research application quality, and inbound partnership interest.
  • Identify opportunities to improve program effectiveness and expand community participation.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, community engagement, or strategic partnerships.
  • 3+ years of experience in a partner facing or community facing role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with academic institutions, nonprofits, or research organizations.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven experience developing and launching external facing content, including case studies, blogs, videos, or research communications.
  • Strong cross functional project management skills and experience coordinating launches involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent relationship building, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and manage evolving priorities in a fast paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a large technology organization or research driven environment.
  • Background in AR/VR, wearable technology, computer vision, artificial intelligence, or machine perception.
  • Experience supporting academic research partnerships, research institutes, or emerging technology programs.
  • Familiarity with academic research cycles, conference calendars, and university partnership agreements.
  • Experience with accessibility focused technologies or disability community partnerships.
  • Experience building or scaling community engagement programs from the ground up.
  • Event planning and execution experience, particularly within academic or research communities.
  • Familiarity with AI powered marketing tools and automation.
  • Master's degree.
