Reporting to the Global Head of Market Data Services, you will work with business and technology teams to define requirements, assess impacts and coordinate changes to data, systems and workflows through to implementation.

Your future role within QRT

  • Work with business, MDS, Technology and other relevant teams to understand change requests, their context, constraints and intended outcomes.
  • Translate broad or ambiguous requests into clear, structured requirements, functional specifications and acceptance criteria.
  • Consolidate requirements across business areas and systems, identifying common needs, challenging unnecessary variation and recommending practical, scalable solutions.
  • Analyse the end-to-end impact of proposed changes across market data systems, Technology platforms, operational workflows and downstream users.
  • Map current and future processes, data flows, interfaces, dependencies and ownership to support effective delivery.
  • Support market data change driven by business demand, vendors, exchanges, Technology and wider firm initiatives, including onboarding, feed migrations and platform changes.
  • Work closely with the MDS Real-Time team to ensure proposed changes are practical and aligned with existing processes and controls.
  • Coordinate requirements across teams and platforms, resolving gaps and ensuring stakeholders understand the agreed scope and responsibilities.
  • Support testing and validation against agreed requirements and acceptance criteria, maintaining clarity from initial request through to implementation.
  • Provide proportionate project management where needed, coordinating actions, owners, dependencies and timelines to keep delivery moving.

Your present skillset

  • 5+ years of Market Data Business Analysis experience gained within financial services, ideally at a high-frequency trading firm, proprietary trading firm, hedge fund, other buy-side firm or investment bank, with proven experience delivering market data change.
  • Experience delivering change involving market data, exchange data or financial data platforms, from initial requirements gathering through to implementation and validation.
  • Demonstrable ability to translate broad or ambiguous requests into clear functional requirements, process flows and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Experience analysing complex data flows, systems, interfaces and dependencies, with an understanding of how changes affect operational workflows and downstream users.
  • Strong experience working across operational teams, end users, senior stakeholders and Technology, adapting discussions to different audiences and levels of technical detail.
  • Ability to consolidate requirements from multiple business areas, reconcile different perspectives and establish a coherent, agreed scope.
  • Confidence to challenge assumptions and unnecessary variation, identify common requirements and recommend practical, efficient and scalable approaches.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to clarify ownership, resolve gaps and maintain alignment throughout delivery.
  • Comfortable taking proportionate project management responsibility for cross-functional change, coordinating actions, dependencies and timelines while maintaining focus on the Business Analysis remit.
  • Good understanding of how market data is sourced, distributed, permissioned and consumed within a financial institution.
