About the role

Wound Care LPN – Regional Travel

Skilled Wound Care | Newark, NJ + Extensive Regional Travel | Full-Time | $75,000 - $90,000 per year + Quarterly Bonus

Take your wound care passion on the road.

Skilled Wound Care is hiring a Wound Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) to join our growing team as a Regional Clinical Liaison. We’re a fast-growing mobile surgical wound care physician group, bringing specialized wound care to skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and long-term care communities in new markets across the U.S.

If you’re a wound care nurse who loves meeting new people and wants a job that isn’t tied to one building, this role is for you. You’ll be the link between our wound care physicians and the facilities we serve, helping patients with chronic wounds get specialist care and supporting the nursing teams who care for them every day.

About the Travel

Travel is at the heart of this role. You’ll spend most of your week on the road, not behind a desk.

  • Daily regional travel: You’ll drive to multiple skilled nursing facilities across your assigned territory each day.
  • Out-of-state travel: You’ll travel as needed to help launch Skilled Wound Care in brand-new markets.
  • Overnight stays: Some trips may require overnight stays, especially during new market launches.

If you love variety, exploring new places, and the freedom of working in the field, you’ll feel right at home.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • No two days are the same. You’ll visit different facilities, meet new teams, and see new places every week.
  • Help build something new. You’ll be part of the team that brings Skilled Wound Care to new cities and states.
  • Share what you know. You’ll support facility staff with wound care education, documentation best practices, and prevention strategies.
  • Make a visible difference. You’ll help track healing progress and see the impact as patients get the care they need.
  • Build new skills. You’ll learn business development, account management, and healthcare operations, plus get an education stipend toward wound care certifications like WCC.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with assigned SWC wound care physicians to grow full, productive practices in your region
  • Travel daily to skilled nursing facilities throughout your territory
  • Support wound care education and in-services for SNF nursing staff
  • Help collect and report patient healing outcomes and visit data
  • Build relationships with skilled nursing facility leadership to open new accounts and grow existing ones
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for physician visits and procedures
  • Support new market launches, including out-of-state travel as needed
  • Represent the Skilled Wound Care brand and mission in every facility
  • Assist with recruiting top-tier providers
  • Meet and exceed growth targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

What You Bring

  • Active LVN/LPN license (required)
  • Experience in long-term care and wound care (required)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including daily regional driving and out-of-state trips with occasional overnight stays (required)
  • Proficiency with EMR systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing, organized, and comfortable working independently on the road
  • Healthcare sales or account management experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration preferred
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Benefits

  • $75,000 - $90,000 base salary plus quarterly bonus
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous 401(k) plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Life insurance
  • Education stipend
