About the role

Warehouse Supervisor

Location: Manchester (M12)

Working pattern: Onsite | Full-time | Shift-based (37.5 hours per week)

Pay: £14.30 per hour

Join us in our mission to transform the way people shop and eat, where impact, innovation, and growth drives everything we do. Our Site Operations team powers the physical side of our marketplace through HOP (our rapid grocery delivery service) and Editions (our network of delivery-only kitchens). From launching new sites to ensuring operational excellence across markets, we combine retail and hospitality expertise with operational rigour. If you thrive in hands-on environments and want to help redefine how food and groceries reach customers—come join us on the ground.

We’re looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Manchester team. In this role, you’ll be the beating heart of our daily site operations, maximizing customer satisfaction by ensuring our loyal customers receive their household essentials as quickly as possible.

Get to know our Site Operations team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the HOP Operations team. This team is responsible for the end-to-end management of our rapid grocery delivery sites, ensuring inventory accuracy and lightning-fast dispatch.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Drive Dispatch Excellence: Oversee that all orders are picked to meet time targets and lead the dispatch area to ensure seamless packing for our customers.
  • Manage Inventory Rigour: Unload deliveries according to procedure, ensuring total accuracy of product locations, date rotations, and claims logging.
  • Maintain Operational Standards: Ensure the warehouse remains clean, tidy, and safe at all times, dealing with hazards urgently and conducting regular H&S checks.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Partner with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and Manager to ensure the site runs smoothly and employees follow company procedures.
  • Ownership of Stock Integrity: Ensure stock counts are 100% accurate across all designated counting areas.

What You’ll Need to Thrive

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:

  • Operational Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments (FMCG, Retail, Warehouse, or Last-mile delivery is a major plus).
  • Performance Driven: A track record of hitting goal targets, such as pick times or dispatch KPIs.
  • Natural Leadership: A "lead by example" mentality with a genuine passion for motivating and coaching junior team members.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach to finding new ways to improve site operations and resolve challenges as they arise.
  • Adaptability: The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a high-energy, positive team environment.

Our Interview Process

  • Step 1: Apply – Apply for any role you’d like to be considered for. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
  • Step 2: Online assessment – If your application is successful, you’ll receive an assessment from our AI hiring assistant, Maki People. Please note: this must be completed to continue.
  • Step 3: Initial conversation – One of our Recruitment team will get in touch to talk through your experience and what you’re looking for next.
  • Step 4: Final Onsite interview – You’ll be invited to an onsite interview with one of our Site Managers.
  • Step 5: Outcome – We’ll get back to you quickly after your interview to let you know the result!
