The Opportunity

LTS is seeking a forward-thinking, hands-on finance executive to lead enterprise financial planning and analysis across its Health, Federal IT Services, and Emergency Response divisions. Reporting to the CFO and working in close partnership with the COO, this leader will serve as a trusted financial advisor to Division General Managers and the executive leadership team, translating financial insights into strategic decisions and measurable business results.

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build strong partnerships, influence senior executives, and constructively challenge assumptions. Success requires navigating a collaborative, consensus-driven leadership environment while maintaining the initiative, appropriate assertiveness, and accountability needed to drive results.

We seek a leader with a strong systems-and-process mindset who proactively standardizes, documents, and automates financial processes to create scalable, sustainable improvements rather than relying on manual workarounds.

This role may also carry assigned Deputy CFO responsibilities under LTS's Delegation of Authority and may serve as Acting CFO when formally designated.

What You'll Do

  • Lead annual planning, rolling forecasts, and enterprise financial reporting, integrating program performance, funded backlog, pipeline, staffing, indirect rates, margins, cash flow, and working capital.
  • Build trusted partnerships with Division General Managers, providing financial guidance, constructively challenging assumptions, and influencing operational and strategic decisions.
  • Partner with the CFO, COO, and executive leadership team to strengthen financial accountability, align priorities, and drive measurable business results.
  • Analyze contract and program profitability, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Serve as the business process owner for implementing a financial planning module within Deltek Costpoint, partnering with Finance, IT, and Operations to drive requirements, implementation, and adoption.
  • Standardize, document, and automate FP&A processes, models, KPIs, and reporting to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Partner with the Chief People Officer on financial modeling, performance measures, and affordability analysis supporting LTS's pay-for-performance philosophy.
  • Lead assigned Deputy CFO responsibilities within delegated authority, including cash management and support for financial controls, risk management, and financial leadership continuity.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, with 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior FP&A or financial leadership.
  • Proven experience managing integrated forecasts, budgets, and P&Ls across multiple divisions, business units, or complex programs.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, cash flow management, and executive reporting capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, with the executive presence and conviction to engage Division General Managers and C-suite executives, respectfully challenge perspectives, and build alignment.
  • A collaborative yet appropriately assertive leadership style, with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive accountability.
  • A proactive, autonomous, and results-oriented approach, with the judgment to independently identify priorities, solve problems, and move initiatives forward.
  • A demonstrated systems-and-process orientation, including experience improving, standardizing, or automating financial processes and implementing financial planning tools.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Strongly Preferred

  • Finance leadership experience in federal government contracting, including program-level forecasting, profitability, indirect-rate management, project accounting, contract pricing, and familiarity with FAR/CAS and DCAA requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint and financial planning system implementations.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or comparable credential.

What's In It for You?

  • Meaningful influence on enterprise strategy and financial performance.
  • Direct partnership with executive leadership and Division General Managers.
  • Opportunity to modernize financial planning systems and processes.
  • Autonomy to lead initiatives and drive lasting organizational improvements.
  • Mission-driven work supporting high-visibility federal programs.
  • A collaborative culture, comprehensive benefits, and professional growth opportunities.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you're a collaborative, results-driven finance leader who enjoys building partnerships, improving processes, and influencing business outcomes, we'd love to meet you.
