Become a Veterinary Client Service Representative at Scout Veterinary Urgent Care

Scout Veterinary Urgent Care is looking for an experienced, compassionate Client Service Representative to join our team in Lincoln Park (2369 N. Lincoln Ave., Chicago, IL, 60614). If you're someone who stays calm under pressure, enjoys connecting with people, and believes kindness matters just as much as efficiency, we'd love to meet you.

Work Style & Culture Fit

As a Veterinary Client Service Representative (CSR) at Scout, you’ll be the first point of contact for pet families seeking urgent care. You’ll play a critical role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and empathetic experience—whether in person, over the phone, or online. Your work helps set the tone for the entire visit and ensures smooth coordination between clients and the clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and pets with warmth and professionalism
  • Manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries
  • Communicate clearly about wait times, services, and costs
  • Handle payments and maintain accurate financial records
  • Support digital record keeping and client communications
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk, lobby area, and exam rooms.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience in customer service, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally sensitive environments
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with scheduling systems

Preferred

  • Experience in veterinary urgent care or emergency settings
  • Familiarity with veterinary software and digital platforms
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

We offer all the benefits you’ve come to expect – and then some.

  • $24 – $26/hour
  • Professional growth opportunities
  • CE: If it moves your medicine forward, we’re in!
  • Uniform support
  • 401(k) with match after 90 days
  • Paid parental leave
  • Professional development support

Scheduling: This is a full-time position requiring availability for Scout’s A/B rotating schedule; we’re only able to consider candidates who can fulfill the full-time schedule as assigned.
