Overview
The Department of Computer and Information Systems (CIS) at Robert Morris University invites applications for two (2) full-time Two-Year Visiting Assistant Professors. The appointment will include a 24-credit teaching load during the academic year, with the primary responsibility of teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: information systems, cybersecurity, data science/analytics, computer science, or AI/machine learning. These positions will begin in August 2026 and run until May 2028 (the 2026-27 and 2027-28 academic years).
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have:
- the ability to teach effectively in a variety of delivery formats, including on-ground, online, and hybrid courses
- a strong commitment to teaching effectiveness
- relevant professional experience and/or certifications in the field or evidence of scholarly work
- effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact successfully with students and the university community.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicant must have an earned doctorate or be ABD in information systems, computer science, or another closely-related field. In addition, ABD applicants will only be considered for hire at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor.
