We're hiring a Travel Manager, based in Chicago or New York, to own Jump's global travel product and lead a global travel team. You'll sit within Global Workplace Services alongside our regional Workplace Services Managers and partner closely with global People Ops teams. We're looking for a resourceful self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, collaborates easily at every level, and brings ideas to make things better.

What You'll Do

You'll lead a global travel team, with a team member in each region, and partner with colleagues across the global Workplace Services function as projects and team needs require. Together, you'll:

  • Team Leadership – Manage and mentor your regional travel team, fostering growth, collaboration and high performance
  • Travel & Expense Policy – Own the global travel program and the firm's travel and expense policies end to end, setting direction with the Director of Workplace Services and adjusting as the business evolves
  • Self-Serve Travel Product – Lead the build of a self-serve experience where employees confidently book travel and manage expenses on a next-generation tech stack, automating processes and workflows to remove friction
  • Data & Business Partnership – With your team, analyze travel and expense data for trends and savings; act as a travel business partner to key managers, business leaders and influential stakeholders, providing bespoke data on their teams' travel so they can make decisions that drive business impact
  • Expense Management – Own the expense process and tool configuration end to end, including Concur and Navan, with your team serving as expense admin approvers; partner with Finance on reimbursement, forms of payment and transactions
  • Supplier Management – Build strong relationships with travel agencies, airlines, hotels and vendors; negotiate competitive rates and services
  • Traveler Communications & Training – Create internal marketing, comms and trainings that influence traveler behavior, educate travelers on best practices for the business, introduce new products, tools and services, and support change management
  • Traveler Support – Make sure your team delivers great travel solutions for employees, candidates, relocations, guests and consultants; step in on escalations
  • Travel Risk – Monitor travel restrictions and risk, and communicate changes proactively to the firm
  • Office Visit Coordination – Share traveler volume with regional Workplace Services Managers and People Ops to ensure productive, enjoyable office visits
  • Professional Development – Attend industry conferences, webinars and trainings to stay ahead in travel management
  • Other duties as assigned or needed

Skills You'll Need

  • At least 7+ years managing corporate travel and expense programs, including at least 2 years in a management role
  • Proficiency with travel and expense systems (e.g., Navan, Concur, GDS), workplace tools (e.g., Confluence, Workday, JIRA) and Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with travel agency RFPs and implementations, and managing private jet suppliers and logistics
  • Tech-savvy, with proven skills in workflow automation, project management and creative problem-solving
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment with ad hoc demands
  • Clear communicator who collaborates across management levels, functions and regions
  • Strong customer service orientation, professional appearance and a sense of humor
  • Genuine curiosity, empathy and a desire to learn and grow
  • Reliable availability, including being onsite 5 days per week and evenings/weekends as needed
  • Bachelor's degree
