About the role

Join us at Cleanaway and contribute to making a sustainable future possible, together.

We transform waste into resources and renewable energy. When you start to think of waste as a resource, it opens a world of possibilities.

As a high-growth, ASX-listed organisation with over 10,000 employees, our goal is to be recognised by our customers as the most innovative and sustainable waste management company with industry-leading HSE performance. We are Australia’s largest company in this sector, providing essential services to millions of customers and communities nationally.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and commercially driven Territory Manager to join our team in Darwin, playing a key role in driving business growth and strengthening customer relationships across the Northern Territory.

In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while managing, retaining and growing an established portfolio of customers. Working across a diverse range of industries, you will develop strong partnerships, deliver tailored waste management solutions and contribute to Cleanaway's continued growth and market presence throughout the region.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, develop and secure new business opportunities to drive profitable revenue growth and expand market share across your territory.
  • Manage and grow an existing customer portfolio, building strong, long-term relationships that support customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, converting prospects and opportunities into profitable, long-term customer agreements.
  • Negotiate new contracts, renewals and service agreements in line with commercial objectives and pricing guidelines.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and deliver tailored waste management solutions.
  • Achieve agreed sales budgets, revenue targets and key performance indicators through effective territory and account management.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, opportunities and contracts using Salesforce CRM.
  • Monitor sales performance, provide regular reporting and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

You are a proactive, resilient and results-driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, winning new business and delivering value to customers.

With strong commercial acumen and a solutions-focused approach, you will be confident engaging with stakeholders across a variety of industries and capable of managing a diverse customer portfolio across the Northern Territory.

To be successful in this role, you will bring

  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales, business development or territory/account management, with a proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • A successful track record of securing new business, negotiating commercial agreements and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sound commercial acumen and the ability to identify profitable growth opportunities and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the resilience and drive to succeed in a target-focused environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across a geographically diverse territory.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce, to manage customer relationships, sales pipelines and reporting.

Why Join Cleanaway?

  • Competitive salary package
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Career opportunities in a high-growth, Australian business
  • Supportive and safe work environment

  • Great company benefits: Employee share program, company discounts, salary packaging, flu vaccinations, EAP, discounts on private health insurance and more.
