About the role

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Recruiter to lead full-cycle recruiting for production, engineering, and other positions as needed. This role will source, screen, and coordinate candidates through the hiring process, manage day-to-day administration of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and support onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Sourcing

  • Support full-cycle recruiting for production, engineering, and other roles (e.g., systems engineers, software/hardware engineers, program managers, cleared personnel, and other roles)
  • Manage requisition workload across multiple open roles simultaneously, prioritizing based on business needs and urgency
  • Source passive and active candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, niche technical/defense job boards, industry associations, veteran networks, and referrals
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews to assess technical qualifications and cultural fit
  • Partner with hiring managers to gain a clear understanding of technical requirements and must-have qualifications for each role
  • Coordinate interview panels, assessments, and debriefs with hiring teams
  • Support hiring for cleared positions and understand basic requirements around security clearances (e.g., Secret, Top Secret, TS/SCI) and eligibility requirements
  • Develop sourcing strategies and maintain candidate pipelines to support current and future hiring needs

ATS & Process Management

  • Manage day-to-day administration of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including job requisition setup, workflow configuration, and data integrity, keeping leadership informed of any process or workflow changes
  • Ensure accurate and timely candidate status updates, dispositioning, and pipeline tracking within the ATS
  • Generate and analyze recruiting metrics/reports from the ATS (time-to-fill, source of hire, pipeline conversion, etc.) for leadership review
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, templates, and processes, and propose changes for approval
  • Maintain compliance-related documentation within the ATS (EEO/AAP data, OFCCP requirements, etc.)

Candidate Experience & Onboarding Coordination

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring timely and professional communication
  • Coordinate interview scheduling logistics across multiple stakeholders and time zones
  • Assist in the offer process, including background checks, and other pre-employment requirements
  • Coordinate onboarding logistics for new hires and first-day preparation
  • Continuously recommend improvements to the candidate journey to reflect a positive, professional experience
  • Provide clear timeline expectations and feedback to candidates at each stage

Additional Support

  • Represent the company at technical conferences, defense industry events, career fairs, and veteran hiring initiatives
  • Track and report on recruiting KPIs and provide regular pipeline updates
  • Keep leadership informed of pipeline status, candidate feedback, and any risks or roadblocks throughout the hiring process

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR (technical/engineering or defense industry experience a plus, not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Exposure to or hands-on experience with an ATS (e.g., Greenhouse, iCIMS, Workday or similar)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting for or working within government contractors, defense, or aerospace industries
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or similar HR certification (or actively pursuing)
