About The Role

Champions Social Club is seeking a Technical Producer to oversee end-to-end production workflows at our Dallas production studio while executing hands-on at the intersection of livestream, social media, and multimedia content strategies. We are structuring this role to be open-ended; the final title, scope, and responsibilities will be tailored to the specific strengths, experience, skills, and technical depth of the person we hire. If you are a rising producer with a strong technical foundation with an eagerness to utilize and develop additional skills, we want to hear from you!

The ideal candidate brings a strong technical production background, specifically in poker or related production environments, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the versatility to manage all aspects of production, from planning and equipment set-up to live execution and post-production. Working closely with Club leadership, internal teams, and external production partners, this individual must be proactive, adaptable, and capable of delivering professional, engaging content in a fast-paced, live entertainment environment.

Responsibilities

Production Ownership

  • Lead end-to-end production for live streams, broadcasts, and recorded content in poker, chess, and future competitive entertainment programming.
  • Oversee control room operations, crew coordination, and production workflows.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality output across all distribution platforms (live, social, digital).
  • Support a wide range of on-site production needs beyond live streaming, including filming, editing, setup, sound, and other technical logistics.

Technical Execution & Problem Solving

  • Own core technical functions including switching, signal flow, routing, and troubleshooting.
  • Provide on-site technical support throughout events, monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless technical execution.
  • Anticipate and resolve technical challenges in real-time.
  • Maintain and improve production systems, equipment, and workflows.
  • Manage production budgets, including crew expenses and equipment costs.
  • Conduct pre-show technical checks and ensure redundancy measures are in place.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with management on live event strategy and invent technical solutions to fulfill the strategic vision.
  • Partner closely with the Creative Producer to execute content concepts in a visually polished and elevated manner.
  • Work with the Marketing team to support event promotions through timely delivery of production assets.
  • Support major productions at the Houston, TX property, both on-site and remote as needed.
  • Align production output with broader audience growth and engagement goals.
  • Collaborate with various Club departmental leadership, performers, and external production partners to identify technical requirements, equipment needs, and production expectations.

Content & Asset Delivery

  • Capture and deliver production assets (video, clips, graphics, etc.) for marketing and social use.
  • Ensure quick turnaround times to meet promotional and distribution needs.
  • Step into additional production-related responsibilities as programming as event needs evolve.
  • Ensure seamless execution of live shows, by adjusting on the fly to handle unexpected challenges.
  • Maintain and optimize all broadcast systems, including video, audio, graphics, and switching.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system upgrades that elevate production quality.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 2 – 5 years of experience as a Technical Producer for large-scale live broadcasts is required.
  • Strong knowledge of poker and/or prior production experience within the poker industry is required.
  • Knowledge of Vizrt/NewTek TriCaster, or equivalent experience with high-end broadcast switchers (Ross Video, Grass Valley, etc.).
  • Must be based in Dallas, TX or willing to relocate.
  • Ability to travel for live events as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to think on the fly and handle high-stress environments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills for coordinating live productions
  • Experience with vMix, Dante audio networking, sound mixing, or replay systems.
  • Robotic camera (robo cam) operation experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with post-production editing workflows (Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, etc.) is preferred.
  • Background in sports, esports, or poker broadcasting is preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation along with PTO & Paid Sick Leave available to employees after meeting initial eligibility requirements.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including a flexible medical plan with customizable options for eligible positions, 401k with company matching and employee assistance/wellness programs.
