Your Opportunity
Ready to put your trade experience to work in a new way?
TAFE Queensland SkillsTech is looking for skilled and experienced tradespeople who are passionate about their industry and interested in helping train the next generation of qualified tradespeople.
We are establishing a talent pool for teaching opportunities across the Central Queensland Region, with both short and long-term positions potentially available.
We're looking for experienced tradespeople across the following areas
- Electrical: Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Whether you're an experienced educator or a tradesperson considering a new career direction, we'd love to hear from you.
As part of our teaching team, you'll share your industry knowledge, deliver practical and engaging training, and support apprentices and pre-apprentices as they develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed.
You'll work alongside experienced educators, maintain your industry connections and contribute to developing the next generation of skilled workers.
Never taught before? No problem!
You don't need teaching experience or a teaching qualification to take the first step towards becoming a TAFE teacher.
If you have the right trade qualifications, current industry experience and a passion for sharing your knowledge, we can help you develop the skills to become an educator.
Through TAFE Queensland's Foundation Educator program, suitable candidates may have the opportunity to transition into teaching while working towards their required training and assessment qualifications, supported by experienced educators, coaching and mentoring.
We value the practical knowledge, experience and fresh perspectives that industry professionals bring to our classrooms and workshops.
