About the role

TALENT ACQUISITION LEAD

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious mission: to inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together.

More than 1/3 of all food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet. 10% of greenhouse gas emissions come from food waste and loss. Through our marketplace app, we connect businesses that have unsold, surplus food, with consumers who can buy and enjoy it at ⅓ of retail value.

We’re growing fast: our community of 120 million registered users and 180,000 active partners across 20 countries, have together already saved over 500 million meals from going to waste

We are now looking for an exceptional Talent Acquisition Lead (GTM & Marketing) to join us at Too Good To Go in New York City.

Application deadline is Monday, 16th of November at 6pm EST

Your mission

As our Talent Acquisition Lead for North America, you will play a vital role in fueling our rapid growth across the US and Canada by bringing in exceptional talent for our frontline Sales, Key Account management, and marketing teams. Reporting to the Global Director of Talent Acquisition in London, you’ll step into a high-impact "player-coach" role—leading a talented team of two TA Partners, managing your own hiring portfolio, and partnering directly with North American leaders to shape the future of our commercial organization.

Your role

In this role, you will combine strategic planning with hands-on talent acquisition to drive recruitment success across North America. You will lead and coach a dedicated recruitment team while partnering closely with regional business leaders to align hiring strategies with business goals. By balancing direct recruitment of senior roles with overarching process improvements and contributing to high volume cohort hiring, you will ensure we attract and hire top talent to support our rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet the North American organization's immediate and future talent needs.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a small team of recruiters, fostering a supportive, collaborative environment, and drive a results-focused performance culture.
  • Partner closely with North American leadership, providing regular, data-driven updates on recruitment progress and bringing forward solutions to challenges and stretch targets.
  • Act as a hands-on recruiter for high-priority or senior-level commercial and marketing roles, as well as high volume entry level positions when required.
  • As part of the Global Talent Acquisition management team, work to identify opportunities to enhance the end-to-end recruitment process, focusing on Quality of Hire, efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Lead or support ongoing TA projects across new tools, initiatives and processes.
  • Maintain and improve TA KPIs in line with our company goals.

Benefits

Agility & Autonomy

  • Hybrid Model: Maintain a high-performance rhythm with a balance of focused remote work and collaborative office days (3x a week in office). In office hours are 9am to 5:30pm.
  • Dedicated Time to Recharge: 20 days of paid vacation plus additional paid volunteer time through our Shareback program.
  • Parental Support: Comprehensive paid parental leave with top-up support to ensure you can be present for life’s most significant milestones.

Holistic Wellbeing & Security

  • Premium Health Coverage: 100% employer-paid medical (EPO), dental, and vision options for employees.
  • Comprehensive Support: Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health care, legal and financial advisory, and family support.
  • Active Lifestyle: Stay energized with monthly ClassPass credits
  • Financial Future: Plan for long-term security with a 401(k) program, including an employer-matched contribution.

Community & Belonging

  • Global Connectivity: Engage with our international team through various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), including P.R.I.D.E., Women in the Workplace, Global Majority Voices, and Functionally Diverse groups.
  • Vibrant Workspace: Experience a welcoming office environment with curated snacks, premium coffee, and regular team celebrations that foster a true sense of community.
