POSITION DESCRIPTION

ROLE: TALENT ACQUISITION PARTNER

TEAM: TALENT

LOCATION: TORONTO (HYBRID)

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Salt is a North American marketing agency that creates connected experiences through creative, digital & media innovation.

Our mission is to “Earn the World’s Attention” and Salt is built to find, develop, execute, and amplify the ideas that are worthy of our clients’ audiences. We’ve structured our agency to do what’s right for our clients – to connect different perspectives, to work across mediums, and to focus on delivering meaningful, effective results.

We’re committed to living up to the values in our name. “Salt of The Earth” means we value collaborative, humble, hard-working people here. We’re looking for people who are as smart as they are kind because we believe the right talent and the right culture help us do what’s right for our clients.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will work closely with the talent team to lead full-cycle hiring for Salt XC and The Kitchen North America. From Creatives and Community Managers to Media, Design, and Digital roles, you’ll help source and secure the talent that drives our work forward.

You’ll be hands-on in every part of the process: finding top candidates, building strong pipelines, and elevating how we show up in the market. You’re a natural relationship builder with a sharp eye for talent and a drive to make things better. You think fast, act with purpose, and bring fresh ideas to every search.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition & Sourcing

  • Run full-cycle recruitment for assigned departments, from intake to offer.
  • Build proactive pipelines through research, outreach, referrals, communities, and events.
  • Write inclusive, compelling job postings and calibrate success profiles with hiring managers.

Candidate Experience & Employer Brand

  • Maintain timely, transparent communication with all candidates.
  • Prepare teams for structured, competency-based interviews and close the loop with clear feedback.
  • Support employer brand efforts through events, content, and partnerships that showcase Salt.

Recruitment Analytics & Optimization

  • Maintain accurate ATS data; keep stages, notes, and statuses current.
  • Track and share funnel metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and conversion.
  • Surface insights to improve speed, quality of hire, and process efficiency.

Strategic Partnership & Stakeholder Influence

  • Consult with hiring managers on role scope, JD language, interview plans, and assessment.
  • Align searches to headcount plans and hiring priorities; set expectations on pace and pipeline health.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and recommendations clearly and proactively.

Early Talent & Engagement Programs

  • Own outreach and logistics for intern and early-career programs in partnership with People & Culture.
  • Support campus and community engagement; track conversion and retention outcomes.
  • Provide feedback to improve programming, onboarding, and development pathway.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 3–5 years recruiting experience, ideally in a creative or integrated agency environment.
  • Full-cycle recruiting proficiency across diverse roles (Creative, Digital, Media, Operations) with evidence of quality hires and manager satisfaction.
  • Sourcing depth using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, referrals, communities, and events; comfort building proactive pipelines.
  • ATS fluency with disciplined data hygiene and reporting; able to translate funnel data into actionable insights.
  • Stakeholder partnership skills: consultative intake, expectation setting, structured interview planning, and offer negotiation.
  • Candidate experience excellence: clear, timely communication; respectful feedback; advocacy for inclusion.
  • Process rigor: organized, detail-oriented, and consistent in documentation, compliance, and handoffs to onboarding.
  • Communication and influence: strong writing and presentation; able to advise with empathy and objectivity.
  • EDI mindset: curiosity, fairness, and commitment to broadening access and representation.

PERKS & BENEFITS THAT SET US APART

We don’t just talk about balance, growth, and culture, we build for it:

  • Work-Life Flexibility: Hybrid setup, up to 28 paid days off and winter holiday shutdowns
  • Comprehensive Coverage: Health, dental, and vision plans, plus Salt Bucks to spend on what matters to you—wellness, RRSPs, or extra time off.
  • Growth-Driven Culture: Dedicated Salt Days, top-tier learning access, and formal leadership development.
  • Celebration-First Mentality: Legendary team trips, seasonal socials, and Salt Swag that reps your squad.
  • Real Rewards: Referral and new business bonuses, exclusive lifestyle perks, and personalized wellness options.

  • Earn Your Salt: We roll up our sleeves, chase results, and celebrate the journey.
  • Make Things Better: We’re solution-seekers, always pushing for smarter ways forward.
  • Seek Different Perspectives: Diversity fuels our thinking. Inclusion drives our impact.
