Ready to troubleshoot, migrate, and optimize complex Windows infrastructures?
Join Skaylink, part of Vodafone, and help leading DACH customers maintain and improve their IT infrastructure through hands-on engineering and migration projects.
This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you also have the option to work from our office in a hybrid setup.
What you will do
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2019 and later), ensuring stability, performance, and security.
- Manage VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments, including server migrations.
- Design, operate, and optimize Remote Desktop Services (RDS) across on-premises and hybrid environments.
- Support infrastructure-related projects, including server migrations, technical implementations, upgrades, and optimization activities.
- Provide Level 2 support, troubleshoot complex incidents, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to coordinate technical activities and ensure effective service delivery.
- Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1–2 weeks per quarter).
When you fit in with us
Mandatory requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
- Solid hands-on experience with Windows Server (2019 and later).
- Practical experience with VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Experience with RDS, Level 2 support, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
- Involvement in infrastructure projects, particularly server migrations.
- Good knowledge of networking, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Good English skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a customer-focused environment.
- Nice to have:
- B2 German language skills (a strong advantage, as most customers are German-speaking).
- Experience with Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environments.
- Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and SQL.
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-800 and AZ-801.
