Job Summary/Basic Functions
- Serve as a peer mentor
- Recruit students for the AFA minor by attending spotlight events
- Help plan a monthly student and faculty discussion series at the Center and identify panelists
- Organize and promote AFA/CISE-related events and activities on campus and social media
- Identify and post educational articles on the black experience on AFA/CISE social media platforms
- Design and circulate fliers for AFA/CISE-related events and activities
- Facilitate the AFA monthly spotlight series for faculty, staff, and students
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with other departments on campus
- Facilitate “Africana Night Flix” monthly film series
- Help plan events organized by student organizations
- Organize biannual career workshops led by AFA alums.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Must be enrolled at EKU
