About the role

Healthcare is broken at the first step: patients can't find the right care, understand what it costs, or access the medications they need. Mochi Health is fixing this.

We're building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable—connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. Over the past few years, we've grown rapidly by combining clinical expertise with technology that actually works for real people, not just hospital systems.

Our platform does what legacy healthcare can't: it gives patients transparent pricing before they pay, personalized medication management that follows them across providers, and long-term access to their own medical records. We're proving that healthcare can be more affordable, more human, and far more intuitive than what exists today.

Join a team that's rebuilding healthcare from the patient up. At Mochi Health, you'll work alongside people who value bold thinking, inclusive collaboration, and getting meaningful work into the world. If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.

About Mochi Health

Mochi Health is a direct-to-patient telehealth company specializing in obesity medicine and expanding into primary care, with 500+ providers across 50 states and a proprietary AI-enabled EMR. Over four years, Mochi has built infrastructure most independent providers can't build on their own: multi-state licensure and credentialing, a ~90-pharmacy integrated network, and a 24/7 patient support team. We are now bringing a core piece of that infrastructure in-house by opening our own non-sterile compounding pharmacy and fulfillment center in Houston.

About the Role

We are hiring a Strategy & Operations Manager who wants to build an operation, not just run one. You will own the day-to-day of our Houston site, a licensed Texas pharmacy with an attached warehouse for packaging, inventory, and shipping, from opening through scale-up from hundreds to thousands of orders per day. You will work alongside our pharmacist in charge (PIC) to keep pharmacy operations running smoothly, and you will run the planning, supply, and fulfillment side so every order ships accurately and on time.

You will work across Pharmacy, Clinical Operations, Product, Engineering, Supply, and our San Francisco operations team. The role suits someone who is equally comfortable thinking strategically and operating day to day: planning headcount and supply with data, building a process from scratch, and tracking its numbers. You will work primarily in SQL and Claude, and most days you'll be solving whatever problem comes up next.

Key Responsibilities

Staff Planning & Management

  • Own staff planning and management for the pharmacy technician and warehouse teams: scheduling, capacity, and hiring needs as volume grows, in partnership with the PIC.
  • Manage daily workflow for pharmacy technicians and coordinate non-sterile compounding production schedules under the PIC's direction.
  • Hire, train, and develop the team as volume grows.

Resource Planning & Analytics

  • Use Claude to build and refine resource plans for staffing, supplies, and capacity as order volume scales.
  • Write and run SQL queries to pull operational data, answer questions, and inform decisions.
  • Own the scorecard for the site: turnaround time, shipping accuracy, inventory accuracy, and on-time rate. Give leadership a regular, decision-ready read on what's working, what isn't, and what to change.

Supply & Inventory

  • Run inventory for APIs, compounding supplies, packaging, and OTC devices using SQL and Claude: forecasting demand, tracking stock levels, and placing orders.
  • Manage supplier relationships and follow-up, and oversee receiving and cycle counts.

Fulfillment & Warehouse

  • Oversee the full process from finished prescription to sealed package to FedEx/UPS pickup, including cold-chain shipments.
  • Design and maintain the warehouse layout, racking, and storage systems as volume scales.

Process & Systems

  • Build the operational process behind the site: the steps, the handoffs between pharmacy, warehouse, and carriers, the SOPs, and the tooling.
  • Write and maintain SOPs for both pharmacy and warehouse workflows.
  • Work with Product and Engineering to turn manual processes into software where it makes sense, and learn new pharmacy and shipping systems quickly.

Site Leadership

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for building issues, carriers, vendors, and the San Francisco operations team.

Qualifications

  • MBA is strongly preferred.
  • 3–6 years of experience in strategy, operations, or a lead, supervisor, or manager role, with a track record of owning an operation end to end and driving it to measurable results with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be both a strategic thinker and an operator: you can set the plan and then run it day to day.
  • Comfort working in SQL and Claude to analyze data, plan resources, and manage inventory.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort running several workflows at once.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can brief leadership in one page and train a team member in one session.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure where little exists.

Nice to Have

  • Management consulting or strategy experience.
  • Hands-on experience with non-sterile compounding and its documentation.
  • Warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or 3PL experience.

Why This Role

  • Own a real operation from day one, with direct accountability for how it's designed, measured, and scaled.
  • A clear path to leading what you build, including hiring the team around it.
  • Hands-on exposure to how a telehealth company works with pharmacies, carriers, and patients.
  • Direct impact: every order you ship reaches a patient waiting on their medication.
  • $185K–$220K base, plus equity, health, dental, and vision insurance, and unlimited PTO.
