Position Summary
The Staff Accountant will assist in domestic and international accounting procedures including reports, SOX, and SEC.
Job Description
- Perform monthly accounting duties in support of the Corporate Controller, including:
- Assisting with month-end closing duties, including preparing and posting general ledger journals, reconciling balance sheet accounts, performing various tasks for accurate financial statements and senior management reports.
- Coordinating with various third parties on international subsidiary monthly close procedures and preparing journal entries.
- Performing reconciliation of domestic and international webstore activities such as cash reconciliation and inventory balance reconciliation
- Assist in gathering and analyzing information as requested by the internal / external auditors including statutory audits.
- Assist management in SOX compliance and SEC reporting.
- Other ad hoc activities and projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting / Finance required
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or related experience required
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
- ERP experience required with NetSuite preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or studying to complete a CPA a plus
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year
